Amy Lowell (Poet)

You get kisses for that. :flirt:

Umm... me?
:p

Seriously though, there are many influential lesbian and bisexual women writers who I am studying right now. Willa Cather, Virginia Woolf, Gertrude Stein, Audre Lorde, Colette, Radclyffe Hall, Djuna Barnes, etc, etc...

I could name quite a few gay interior designers....but you guys wouldn't know any of them. There are tons though. :)
Christopher Lowell!

Oh...gay health care providers.

I would be seriously dead without them. I dunno what it is, but nearly every competent healer I've had in 20 years was gay.

Maybe God was trying to tell me something. :D

Hey Phil, what do you think of moving this thread to a discussion part of the open forum? Maybe do a little educating...

I think that's a great idea! It's high time that the rest of the Forum learned Standing Alone, Feathers, and Circle One were in cahoots to create the first GBLT yard gnomes..... and then gnap them!!!

When GBLT folks aren't busy tearing down traditional marriage and thus bringing about the utter collapse of society, they have been busy making contributions to society. Oscar Wilde immediately comes to mind as someone who was gay and contributed immeasurably to the arts and theatre. Who are some others?
I know of several who contribute immeasurably to RF. Does that count?

wow... i didn't know that

A couple of quotes:

In Q Magazine, Stipe said, "Am I queer? Absolutely. I have enjoyed sex with men and women throughout my life." [1]

In a 2001 Newsweek interview Stipe described himself as a "queer artist". In previous interviews he has described himself as "an equal opportunity Lech" and said he doesn't define himself as gay, straight or bisexual, but that he was "just sexual" and was attracted to and had relationships with both men and women. [2]
