If by historically you mean American history then yes I agree... many cultures internationally have not made a big thing of homosexuality for millenia. Not the thread to get cranking on the subject though... Suffice it to say, IMO the gay community would be better off if they trivialised sexuality in general (ie not specifically gay sexuality)

It might be good to note that a gay lifestyle without the burden of family including children might be conducive to the expression of genius.

Well, that's obviously wrong and has been historically wrong, but so has the non-recognitions of the positives that have come out of other groups .

I know this is close to your heart, and fighting against something makes you very much more aware of it, but things are improving; give it time.........:hug:
