Romance can get pretty “ew”.
Action and drama with no other substance is just dull.

Romance.
I love PoirotI voted for two:
Horror and Mystery. . . Two sides of the same narrative coin.
Horror is about a disturbance in the social order, and Mystery is about fixing it. Both are dull to me.
Give me science fiction and fantasy.
I love Poirot
Which one? That's cool. . . I did go through an Agatha Christie phase a long time ago, but I feel like the genre cheats, by deliberately failing to give the reader info they could use to figure it out for themselves, then revealing it at the end of the book.
Do you know about the movie coming out soon?
It is curious. On Netflix it's overwhelmingly the most liked/watched genre.Romance is doing badly. I wonder why everyone hates it.
Oh yeah. I'm not expecting it to top the David Suchet one.
Ew yeah, and chick flicks. Gross.Rigged poll!
I can get into all of'm.
But if you had an option for <weepie woman's movie>, I'd have picked it.
And those young adult vampire & action movies.Ew yeah, and chick flicks. Gross.
It sad because vampire movies can be really, really good if done well. Those black and white ones! And the Dead and Loving It comedy was brilliant imo.And those young adult vampire & action movies.
Gag me!
But not vampire movies with angst ridden, raging hormone, teenage lovers. It sad because vampire movies can be really, really good if done well. Those black and white ones! And the Dead and Loving It comedy was brilliant imo.
Nope. But not vampire movies with angst ridden, raging hormone, teenage lovers.
Yes Romance. Yuck get a room. The arts provide us with many fine tales for inspiration and entertainment, some of which appeal to us more than others. We tend to have some sort of genre preference, and try from time to time to get into others outside of our norm. Are there particular genres that you just can't get into? Why do you think that is?
(yes, I realize the poll options are limited - there are too many genres to fit them all in; if something isn't in the poll, please post and tell us about it!)
