Hammer of Reason
Yes, if you ignore any thing nature has taught us, then you will not be able to understand what nature has taught us! Not sure you realize this, Pegg, but there is no known natural connection between gravity and color. On the other hand, if you throw 100 steel marbles, 100 glass marbles, and 100 sytromfome balls up in the air, they are going to sort out very nicely. Depending on how high you throw them and the wind condtions, all sorts of randomly generated yet orderly patterns can be seen. E.g. the steel marbles would land closer to the center of the spread, with the glass marbles on average being further away and spread further, while the styrofoam marbles may all drift away depending on the wind. Your example is daft!order indicates that thought has gone into it. Order doesnt come about randomly. If i throw 100 red marbles and 100 blue marbles high into the air, they are not going to fall into two neat piles of red and blue marlbes...they are going to be scattered all over the place.
