Gift from God

Conscience and common sense is the biggest gift from God. God wants us to use it.

Any thought? Do you agree or disagree?

I would say that the gift of existence itself is the greatest gift. And to me, after that, it's the gift of being human, so that I am sintient, and conscious, and therefor able to cognte and appreciate the gift of existence. At least to some degree. (As I can't claim to know what existence is, fully or exactly.) As to a having a "conscience", I see that as the result of being given these other gifts. And by that I mean that if I appreciate the gift of existence, and of life, and of cognition, and of other humans to share my appreciation of these, with, then I would naturally not wish to abuse them, or foul or destroy them. And that is the essence of "conscience", I think.

Well, I do feel more serene when I use those.
It can be hard to do when I want something really bad, though.

Perhaps that's what is meant by "Do what God wants, not what you want".
Very true.

Whatever it is that we want, will always shape what we see.

What we notice and not, about a circumstance; what we act upon and what we discard of, in any given context; all of it is based on what it is that we want.

Heh... do you realize that in the same breath, you told us both what God supposedly wants and that you don't know what God wants?
You are wrong. I wrote I do not know what God wants, but that I believe God wants us to use common sense. I BELIEVE, I did not write I know

I would say common sense and conscience are gifts from God. To judge things with justice is also a great gift from God:

It beseemeth you to fix your gaze under all conditions upon justice and fairness. In The Hidden Words this exalted utterance hath been revealed from Our Most August Pen:

'O Son of Spirit! The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbour. Ponder this in thy heart; how it behoveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes.'

They that are just and fair-minded in their judgement occupy a sublime station and hold an exalted rank. The light of piety and uprightness shineth resplendent from these souls. We earnestly hope that the peoples and countries of the world may not be deprived of the splendours of these two luminaries.

I'd say that common sense is a complicated concept. It seems obvious that some form of common sense exists, but I also think that the term is often misused. For example, some people may reject new ideas and claim that their own views are based on common sense. I believe that this is not a proper use of common sense, but rather a way of avoiding critical thinking.

You can believe whatever you want if you are not concerned with having any evidence to support it.

Since you are claiming things about God without backing it up with any rationale nor evidence, I am gonna feel free to do the same and refuse to substantiate my statement: God doesn't exist, and therefore doesn't/can't grant gifts.
what proof of God du you want?
