Jai Lakshmi Maa
Namaste all!
I have another etiquette question.
There is an Indian family that lives a few houses down from me. I've spoken to the wife on a few brief occasions and tried to get to know her but she is very shy (I don't even know their names!). I don't know if they are Hindu or not and I don't like making assumptions but I'm the process of making Diwali cards at the moment and I'd like to give them one.
Would is be weird to make the assumption that they celebrate? They could be Muslim or Christian for all I know. I know if I received a Ramadan, Hanukkah or Christmas card I would be really charmed by the thoughtfulness of it. (But I like getting mail, so there's that. And also that's just me.)
Your thoughts?
