Giving up drinking

The world is spinning alot faster nowadays, not to mention it got knocked off it's axis a lil during the sunami in Japan. Alcohol slows the heart and makes people feel real. Unless you see blueberries and cherries then your heart speeds up. Addiction is the problem. Knowing yourself and when to stop and start is key to overcoming addiction.

Again....she's NOT AN ADDICT!!! Saying "I've not gotten stupid drunk or binged drank" is NOT ADDICTION!
Addiction is terrible, but a young adult learning their limits is not addiction! It's called being a typical (at least American) young adult!

Goin' tonight to an event where I wanna see an artist perform and gonna try not to drink. I ain't payin' 3 dollars per a beer. Broke as it is LOL Plus I won't have a way home (will be alone) unless I wanna walk and I'm too paranoid cops will stop me or something. Is it illegal to walk home drunk? From a bar?

Nah I could be fine maybe get a ride... you know... they got this thing where if I buy like 5 beers I can get like them all for 2 bucks instead... hmm...

No no my wallet... my wallet. Every last dollar counts right now.

...but what's the point in life if I can't enjoy myself? Damn it I just wanna go hear some good electronic music and get buzzed. Is that so bad?

... but my wallet... damn it my wallet hurts as the number one reason me not wanting to. Never did anything I regretted drunk in public, only helped me actually a lot to get out of my shell and get friendly with bands and people. Too anxious to do it sober. Except... maybe not tonight... maybe just one if I *really* have to, but this is also the first time I'm meeting this dude. No I want to be sober... I need to be in top mental shape if I get near his synths.

Sorry I've been up all night.... is any of this mental debating indicative of me having a problem? I debate it every time and have this echoing thought of my money and what people think of me for drinking...

Yes. I know a couple people who have been stopped over it.

If you're funds are hurting, there is enjoying the evening, but there is also eating tomorrow.

Not a problem, but that you have young impulses conflicting with mature reasoning.
