If you could go back in time and ask 1 question to any religious figure who would that be and what would you ask?

I would like to go back to 1244 and ask one of the Cathar perfect of Montsegur what was the 'treasure' they smuggled through French lines before the fortress fell.

I would ask Jim Bakker just how much money Tammy Faye really spent on make up?

I would ask Jerry Falwell why he didn't run for the office of president ? because he was trying to run the country anyway.

I would ask King David if he had never seen anyone take a bath before and why he was so fascinated by Bathsheba?

Ask Moses if his first instinct wasn't to find water to throw on the burning bush?

Sorry, guess I would want to talk to more than just one person, I have an inquiring mind.....;)

I would ask Moses if he could part any sea or was it just the Red Sea that fortunately worked such magic? I mean if he could part any Sea I wouldn't be so skeptical!

I'd have a chat with Josephus to clear up whether those nagging passages were interpolations or not. And I hear he throws a mean kegger so that'd be a bonus.

I would ask a Pythia of the Oracle of Delphi, a Pythia of the later centuries, to tell me about the roots and essence of the interplay between the Mysteries and the upcoming new faith of ancient Judah inspired by a 1st century Jewish teacher, a faith who would sweep across the land of the old gods.

I would go ask Melchizadech if he was a Christophony or not.

Or perhaps I would go ask Adam if he got things right with God after getting kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

Greetings

I've thought about this for a while and I don't know of anything I can say that won't offend theists on this forum...

...So after a while I guess i'd probably have a chat with Anton LaVey or ask John Dee to teach me Enochian or something...

I would ask Jesus, "How many Pharisees does it take to change a lightbulb"?
(just to get on his good side).

You and I both agree that Moses (peace be upon him) was a Prophet of God.

Therefore anything Moses (peace be upon him) did would only occur if God Decreed so.

The split of the sea which was the miracle of Prophet Moses was not magic, neither did Moses (upon him be peace) have the Power to do such act. It is only because God Willed, then it occured.

Well, first off, I would bring a video camera.

I'd go back to the time of Jesus and ask "What is the real message you are trying to convey?"
I'd also ask him if he and Mary Magdalene were a couple.

I'd go back and ask the Pharoah (I forget his name) whom Moses freed the Jews from if Moses really did all those miracles.

I'd go back and ask Buddha what finding true peace feels like.

I would go back to adam and eve.
I would ask only a casual question like "surprised to see me? there are more of us you know.." just to mess with their heads for a little while. The real reason of me being there is to see if she really wears leaves and to see a snake talking.

But I guess what really happens is that they will freak out because they never saw another human before and when I will try to explain what happens I will find out that they don't speak english anyway so...
