God has chosen to remain anonymous & mysterious over the millennia...

Perhaps what you are looking for does not fit the description you associate with god? I don't understand how religious tradition continues to flourish even though there is no proof outside of here say and bible scripture. Just because Christianity has been around for a long time it does not make true.
Ever wonder about foreign and local missions? I accredit missions as the white man infiltrating the west murdering and pilfering native Americans to take away their livelihood. Today the truth is candy coated for the history books. Not much is said about the harm meaningful missionary by disposing life cultures and exchanging it with the prescribed way of life found in the Bible.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
In over 4,423 years of religious scriptures (since 2,400 BCE), nobody has ever provided any proof or even convincing evidence that any Gods exists or not. Therefore, it is impossible for anyone to claim any of God's attributes (e.g., creator of the Universe, all-good, all-powerful, all-knowing, wise, perfect, jealous, loving) or what God wants, thinks, did, said, etc. etc. etc. As far as I can tell, God (if he exists) has chosen to remain anonymous & mysterious over the millennia. I don't make the rules, I just play the game (live a productive life). (Tim Barber updated 7/18/23).
If there is a God then that God would only be known by all the great many virtues there are. Virtues are the truth. However in this nature and reality truth isn't always known, and many other causes and effects take place besides truth. I don't see the forces of truth working in the world. Thus I have to wonder where is a God in all of this. It could be that God is far beyond comprehension, or just plain non existent, or even lacking in power to do for us earthlings.

I don't see a law of truthful deserve happening in the world. I suppose this world and this life is not the ultimate goal. However the things many people go through can not be called justified. That's why I'm atheist. There's no point to much of the tragedy, horror, torment and suffering in the world. It's very, very easy for many people to claim God and blessings when they are so sheltered from the real bad things that happen on Earth.

My faith is that something substantive exists for the cause of life, but it is an force that struggles mightily. Wherever intelligent life is there's probably always been good and evil, ignorance and the great unknown. Maybe one day eternal life will score truthful victory over the evils that plague life, or we are maybe in for one long dirt nap. I believe life is far from an accident, fluke, or mindless luck of the draw though.
