God isn't real. Prove me wrong.

Clarification is needed on these points:
  • What do you mean by "god?" For the purposes of your discussion, will you accept the full diversity of theisms and theologies, or do you mean to impose limits on what gods are to be considered?
  • What do you mean by "real?" Will you only accept something as real if it means your particular standard of what that word means, or are you willing and able to work with alternative ontologies?
  • What do you mean by "prove?" Do you plan to accept any and all types of proof or do you intend to constrain proofs to those which you find valid?

God? Anything supernatural. Like you imagine gods would be.

Real? It exists. Simple. Or has existed. Maybe God died? Or, at least, one of them.

Prove? Sorry to be rude here, but since there simply isn't any, this is going to be a hard thing to answer to. The only proof is 'suggestions' or 'points' people can provide. Yeah, there's a bible and all that. But it's more of a story book than anything, rather than a, y'know, basis for a religion. Maybe someone got really creative with a fantasy world of theirs, wrote it, gained a cult following and bam, people think it's real and now there's a religion.

Now, I don't know that. But it's a possibility. There's also a billion other possibilities. And one of them is that a god indeed does exist. ...And to put this into perspective, it's also just as likely that a sheep happened to write the bible by stumbling near ink and paper. And that a time traveler exists and made that book then. Those are *possibilities*, mind you.

Tell me where you would rationally use faith alone to make a decision about anything else in life. I can't think of any. Faith is a means to manipulate the gullible.

Also, a point to make. I'm not here to 'dismantle religion all by myself' or anything like that. I just want to have a debate with people who can, in theory, be seen as 'cultists'.

You Can not deny the existence of a creator when you are sitting here able to have a conversation with other animate objects from the will of its permittance.

some say made up nonsense and then believe it. If you did not know you were a reincarnation, then the entire purpose of reincarnation is fruitless.
Some more say that earth is competition for the most beautiful of spirit. To ascend, but than how did we fall in the first place?

Really what is the exact purpose of reincarnation to be better??? If you were never aware of the past life then there is no motivation for improvement. Same with the lazy justice of Karma. You have dyslexia, explanation you burned books in a past life. Now you need to suffer for the actions of that past life. Yet this encourages one to suffer in guilt for an action they were unaware of in the first place, and to add insult to injury seeking to NOT better themselves.

Original sin, same BS. You are guilty of a crime your did not consciously commit but you need to work your whole life to atone for what you did not consciously do. I did not choose to be born, but my birth is my sin that I must atone for.

These are chains these religions hang over your neck to compel obedience within the different faiths.

Relax old sport, this yipper snapper is trying to test our wits.
Right, but I have too much time on my hands. If I could get into a more intelligent debate that would be fun and challenging.

Believing in God is a choice. And it's a trend. People don't believe in any gods because they know such a thing exist. They do it because others do, and their parents practiced this.

Now, why is it that, for example, Christian families who enforce religious acts like churchgoing, etc etc etc all have children who grow up to believe in a god?

And Christian families who are somewhat relaxed about it, not forcing their views upon their child, but still choose to believe that God is real, have their child usually grow up to either not care or not believe in anything.

It's a choice if you choose to believe in fantasy. It's like people who play video games way too much, get immersed within the world, get absolutely obsessed with it, and begin to confuse their world with their fantasy world. Sure, that's a rare case, but it has still happened many times.

So you are saying my sin is carried on through DNA? So my greatest faults are related by a past life? How can this be proven?

Not a troll. A debate. As the title says.

So! Prove me wrong. I'll reply.

That you can't believe God exists is part of the plan, God is in control. You could prove God doesn't exist by changing your mind and believing God is real and in absolute control of all that was, all that is, and all that ever shall be. Prove me wrong... :)
