Gotta love democracy, the only system were 3 wolves and one sheep vote on what is for dinner.

Myself, I am glad I live in a Republic.

I don't know about smearing, but at some point one must consider that maybe Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, John McCain, Rudolph Giuliani, Oliver North, Ronald Reagan and both George Bushes are not quite all outliers among the GOP members.

In other words, I wonder if it is even possible to smear the Republican Party based on that person.
Then you are uninformed. Too bad, I thought perhaps your were more considerate than that.

I see it as a very positive thing, when these Right Wing American Lunatics profess this nonsense.

The more they spout this complete, evil, jibberish about God sending bad weather because of Gay people, and in this case Autism also being an angry reprise by the loving conservative god, the more they VILIFY themselves, and put themselves on the FRINGE.

And those two things, are what will keep right wing conservative christian nutcases in a very, very small minority.

Anyway, look at the woman's hair! :)

...........same thing with Palin. I think it's brilliant that she represents the Republicans with such a loud voice; having such an idiotic, unintelligent, jibberish-speaking fool will put people off Republicanism and conservatism - and that's a good thing. :)
There are odd-balls and wacko's on both side of the spectrum. Each spectrum needs a party to run on. To judge the mainstream of either side by the extremes is disingenuous. When it boils down to the average there seems to be little difference between the left and the right.

I mean how dare an American exercise free speech or cling to their religion or guns? Imagine that they actually register and vote. Damn Republicans, they stand in the way of progress and slow the Liberal movement.

They actually have the nerve to expect government to balance their budget, protect our borders and enforce unpopular laws. They engage in capitalism and encourage folks to be self sufficient and responsible.

Oh the Horror!

Guess what, America is a representative republic. It says so in the pledge of allegiance. This is what protects us from the tyranny of the masses. It is an adversarial systems, ie. checks and balances, which insures this. Asking for both parties to get along is antithetical to the American political system.

Give me counter-evidence then.

Far better, elect them.
LOL, the young folks who voted for the first time in their lives for hope and change have been disappointed with the reality of their messiah.

Health care for all? These young voters have been enslaved with the requirement to spend money they do not have for health insurance that pays for very little.

In a nut shell, they got screwed. Now their greatest hope is to make 10 bucks an hour when they are saddled with student debt.

To quote an old rock & roll song by the Who, "We won't get fooled again".

Do you really believe they will rally behind an angry old broad who lied to them about Bengasi and the NSA?

Nobody thought the dems were going to provide "health care for all". All they ever promised was some minor tweaking, and that's exactly what they delivered.

As far as young folks are concerned, they're not going to vote for a party that wants to force them to carry unplanned pregnancies to term - especially since they're only making ten bucks an hour thanks to the middle class destroying economics shared by both US parties.

Denying climate change is also quite unpopular with the people who are going to be stuck with the consequences of our inaction. And denying evolution - well, it just makes a politician look like an complete idiot to a large majority of people, especially young people.

Thing is, Rick, the dems don't really have to do anything any more except not be republicans. That's how they're consistently getting the youth vote, and the women's vote, and the immigrant vote, and the poor vote, and the non-Christian / liberal Christian vote, and the university graduate vote, etc.

The GOP has done this to themselves. Even Bush was unable to win clean - he had to be appointed by the court - and the GOP just keeps getting crazier and crazier. I like your loyalty and optimism, but you're mistaken to think people are voting for the Democrats because of what they expect them to accomplish. They're voting for Democrats because the Republicans have completely lost the plot. It's a total clown car of a political party. If they want to win again, they'll have to cut loose most of the uncompromising extremists and religious nuts.

Well, most of them were elected. Rush has the most popular radio show on the planet. Enough evidence? Now I'll generalize; why is it that commie-libs have to denigrate those who disagree with them; this thread as evidence.
