Are you advocating the business make purposeful stupid business decisions to please your sense of compassion for your cousin?

It may be a good business in the short term. In the long term, it's going to be hard to keep this consumer society going if there isn't a large base of consumers to buy their shoddy, foreign-slave-labor-made products at premium prices.

This is such a silly talking point without a shred of empirical evidence behind it. But I am sure it helps fuel your self-righteous indignation.

There's plenty of empirical evidence behind it, but what's the point? You haven't shown any interest the realities of the situation; you just have an ideological position supported solely by your idea of what ought to be true.

This is such a contradictory point. Should countries that are poorer than us not be allowed have businesses? If your response is that they should be paid a 'fair' wage it is a moot point because the country is poor in the first place. The poor country isn't going to have a selfish entitled union forcing people from working because the country is poor to begin with. They are not going to have all the regulations that we have because they are a poor country.

Your solution is to make them stay poor. In your world, your cousin keeps his job and no one in the poor country has any jobs (except for little girls prostituting themselves). This is your compassion.

I say let people exchange goods and services freely. You are against this. The poor countries should just stay poor in your world. This is what protectionism and unionism does. But it certainly won't stop you looking down your nose at conservatives with your faux compassion and your silly talking points.

I'm sorry, but this reminds me so much of a scene from Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay:
