Shrek & Donkey
Hannibal Lector
Boba Fett!

Just to name a few....

REUBEN REUBEN-Tom Conti (one of my all time favorite actors) starred as a famous womanizing poet who drank excessively.

ZELIG-Woody Allen plays a person with a physical culture shifting disorder in order to be liked.

KITTEN WITH A WHIP-A sumptuous Ann Margaret (Jody Dvorak) plays a runaway juvenile delinquent to abuse and blackmail John Forsythe’s Senator career. WOW!!!

THIS IS SPINAL TAP-THE MIGHTY WIND-SNL, SCTV Alumni Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer and Micheal McKean play believable trendy rockers in SPINAL TAP and generic old folk singers in a MIGHTY WIND without skipping a beat. Wrote all their songs for both movies.

DIVINE-Basically any movie that needs an overweight man dressed as a woman. DIVINE has always come through with a lot of character whether she is playing Babs Johnson in PINK FLAMINGOS or Dawn Davenport in FEMALE TROUBLE or Lady Divine in MULTIPLE MANIACS.

Which brings us right to.....

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH-John Cameron Mitchell’s transvestite creation Hedwig was performed onstage before he attempted to put it on celluloid.

ERASERHEAD-David Lynch’s disturbing masterpiece would cast Jack Nance in the title role. It would be a role that would prove to be difficult for him to shake off.

THE NIGHT STRANGLER-Darren McGavin would encompass the role of Karl Kolchack in two movies, THE NIGHT STALKER and the NIGHT STRANGLER which soon went on to spin him off in a weekly TV series.

SIMON-Alan Arkin plays Simon, a professor who is invited to a become a member of a think tank but unfortunately the think tank wants to brainwash him unknowingly into thinking he is an alien who has just made contact and to measure the effects that this would have on the world. Arkin at his humorous best!

20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA- James Mason plays the impressive (albeit mad) Captain Nemo in Walt Disney’s adaptation of the novel by Jules Verne.

UHF- Michael Richards (pre-Seinfeld) plays Stanley Spadowski (a.k.a The Mop Boy) in Weird Al Yankovic’s first movie in which Weird Al inherits a T.V. station from his living uncle.

(generously, affectionately continued tomorrow)

Richard Burton, Donald Sutherland to name two; Richard Burton was incredible (But I never liked Liz Taylor for some reason). Donald Sutherland I remember from a film (Can't remember title) - end of second World War Tank Driver who was a drunk hippy; went into a German occupied town (I shall never forget this bit) - and fired at a Panzer Tank that couldn't bring his turret round to bear on the US one, The gunner in the US tank Fires, and because they'd got no shells left, they'd filled up the cases with paint!. I was just going to say "Please someone tell me the name of the film?" but I have just remembered - Kelly's heroes!!!!! (Hey, some of that grey matter still works!)

I will rent a theater and premiere (one night only) a 90 minute feature complete with home movies and photograph collages of my crowning achievements to my most embarrassing moments and there will be a concession stand where people can get popcorn and goobers and sweet tarts and soda.

I love it when threads tie together.:)

Yay for Wolf, Master Vigil!

I'll say Inigo Montoya from "Princess Bride." I liked Fessik, too.

Merry from the "Lord of the Rings". (FBI named my other favorites, heehee!)

Obi-Wan Kenobi (aka 'Ben') to go with Darth Vader.

The movie versions of Wolverine and Nightcrawler. (Okay, so the movie version of Kurt wasn't what I would have pictured, but I have to list him somewhere!)

Belle, from "Beauty and the Beast". She's the Disney character I feel most connected with.

Chaucer, from "A Knight's Tale". Come to think of it, pretty much anyone played by Paul Bettany, including-

Stephen Maturin. Well, while we're at it, let's throw in Jack Aubrey, why don't we? I loved these two from "Master and Commander".

I'll probably be adding to this list before long, I'm betting. *grin*

It's MacLeod, not McCloud (I know that's how he pronounces it though). To that I'll add:

The Kurgan - Highlander - Clancy Brown

Tarzan/John Clayton - Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes - Christopher Lambert

Hmm...I'll try to think of some more - other people have already posted a few I'd have said. ;)

I wonder how many people are going to have any idea what I mean when I say Figwit, of Lord of the Rings fame?

This was his biggest scene, right? (I rather liked him in the background at the Council, though.)

Captain Obvious
I would mention Lord Vader...but that's already been done :D.

Superman (I especially like the George Reeves version)
Kahn (Star Trek II)
Spock
William Wallace
The Puppet Master (from Ghost in the Shell)
Gandalf
Godzilla
Antigone
Judah Ben-Hur

I have several favorites even though I'm not the most well-versed in movies. Of course, my taste in movies is pretty evident from the above :).
