Gun Pics

Speaking of rifles, this is by far the most fun gun I've fired, a 10 pounder Parrot rifle.

'Polly wants a cracker!' :D

That's a 3 inch bore. Ten pound projectile, one pound black powder sends it.

I bet it makes a loud report.

Well I've been trying to avoid this thread. but with all the pics you guys put up. I guess I'll post what was my 'baby' for a few years in service for those of you who appreciate the fire power of machine guns. this is the Negev, developed by Israel Weapon Industries:

Kind of resembles a M249 SAW except that it appears to fire a decent round. 7.62x39mm? Does it come with a second barrel so you can swap for heating issues?

It fires 5.56x45mm NATO standard. and of course, it comes with a second barrel.
Looks like you would want to make sure you have a pair of asbestos gloves for the swap (unless some kind of tool is used). On the M249 SAW you could see a handle sticking up on top that was nice and cool to grab onto.

That's a fun gun to shoot, but a pain to keep clean. Jams if you feed it with magazines instead of the belt, even though it is designed to take either. All in all it is fairly user-friendly though.

Hmmm...taking a second look at yours, there seems to be a handle of sorts hanging off the left side. Was that connected to the barrel for an easy swap?

The handle is folded for more comfort, it can be opened so you can easily pull out the barrel.
