Speaking of rifles, this is by far the most fun gun I've fired, a 10 pounder Parrot rifle.
'Polly wants a cracker!'
That's a 3 inch bore. Ten pound projectile, one pound black powder sends it.
Kind of resembles a M249 SAW except that it appears to fire a decent round. 7.62x39mm? Does it come with a second barrel so you can swap for heating issues?Well I've been trying to avoid this thread. but with all the pics you guys put up. I guess I'll post what was my 'baby' for a few years in service for those of you who appreciate the fire power of machine guns. this is the Negev, developed by Israel Weapon Industries:
It fires 5.56x45mm NATO standard. and of course, it comes with a second barrel.Kind of resembles a M249 SAW except that it appears to fire a decent round. 7.62x39mm? Does it come with a second barrel so you can swap for heating issues?
Looks like you would want to make sure you have a pair of asbestos gloves for the swap (unless some kind of tool is used). On the M249 SAW you could see a handle sticking up on top that was nice and cool to grab onto.It fires 5.56x45mm NATO standard. and of course, it comes with a second barrel.
