Hadith (Sayings of the Prophet pbuh)

[Cordoba]

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, used to supplicate to Allah with the following supplication:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"My Lord, I surrender to You, I believe in You, I rely on You, I turn to You, I plead Your cause and I apply to You.

Forgive me for what I have done before and for what I have left until later; forgive me for what I have done openly and secretly.

You are the one Who advances and Who impedes. There is no god but You." [/FONT]

(Hadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

 

[Cordoba]

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, used to supplicate to Allah with the following supplication:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"My Lord, I seek refuge in You from weakness, laziness, miserliness, old age and the torment of the grave.

My Lord, grant my soul (nafs) god-consciousness ( taqwa) and purify it. You are the one Who will cleanse it the best. You are its owner and master.

My Lord, I seek refuge with You from useless knowledge, hearts that fear nothing,insatiable soul (nafs) and prayers that are not accepted."

[Cordoba]

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, used to supplicate to Allah with the following supplication:

"O Allah I ask You for Your Love, [/FONT][FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]And the love of those whom You Love,[/FONT]
[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]
And the actions that will cause me to attain unto Your Love.[/FONT]

My Lord, make my love for You dearer than my soul (nafs), my family or cold water. "[/FONT]

(Hadith in Sunan At-Tirmidhi)

 

[Cordoba]

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"(Tears are a form of) mercy that God has lodged in the hearts of His servants, and God is merciful only to those of His servants who are merciful (to others)."[/FONT]

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"[/FONT][FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Whenever a group of people assemble in one of the Houses of Allah (i.e. Mosques), reciting the Book of Allah and studying it, tranquility descends upon them, Mercy covers them, angels surround them and Allah makes a mention of them among those who are with Him."[/FONT]

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"[/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence will be answered.

An angel is appointed at the head of the (supplicating) person; so every time he makes a supplication for his brother’s good, the angel says:

'Ameen! May it be for you, too'[/FONT][FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"[/FONT]

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

The best of those who make mistakes often are those who repent [to Allah]."[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"When a person dies, his actions come to an end, except in one of three ways: a continuing act of charity, (sadaqah), a useful contribution to knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him ."

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"[/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Fasting is a shield; so when one of you is fasting he should neither indulge in obscene language nor should he raise his voice in anger.

If someone attacks him or insults him, let him say: "I am fasting!""

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The Prophet was the most generous of all people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him.

Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur'an with him. Allah's Messenger then used to be more generous than the fast wind."[/FONT]

Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"[/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to strive more in worship during Ramadan than he strove in any other time of the year; and he would devote himself more (in the worship of Allah) in the last ten nights of Ramadan than he did in earlier part of the month.[/FONT][FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"[/FONT]

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"When the first night of Ramadan comes ... a crier calls,

'You who desire what is good, come forward, and you who desire evil, refrain.'" [/FONT]
