If he is granted ease then he is thankful, and this is good for him.

And if he is afflicted with a hardship, he perseveres, and this is good for him.

Rather, it is also abstaining from ignorant and indecent speech.

So if anyone abuses you or behaves ignorantly to you, then say: I am fasting, I am fasting.
