If Trump wins he won't be sworn in until January 20. So there will be a month and a half to vrepare for his insanity.
First he can't close the borders. It's illegal. Notice he couldn't in his first term, not until the pandemic which was a public health issue.
And drilling isn't up to the president. It's up to oil companies. There are already thousands of permits that oil companies aren't using. Drilling is costly and the price of oil has to be high enough globally to justify the cost of drilling. With more EVs being planned the long term investment of drilling might not be worth it. As it is the USA is producing more oil than it ever has.

No I'm just the bottom line person where a person's actual actions and motivation reflects their prior promises. Otherwise its just cottage cheese as Senator Kennedy of Louisiana effectively puts it as being during one of the hearings he had attended.

All this "pillow talk" and the sweet nothings said about each other as the gloves are tossed in the trash bin in favor of more personal exchanges has me viewing the events as if they deserve an admission fee and tickets for seating. Is this typical Roman Colosseum mentality or just another day in America?
It just goes to show you lack basic knowledge like most other MAGAs. You can't defend your prior statements and claims. You can't defend the two MAGA agendas. If Trump wins and he does his tariffs and does his massive deportation of migrants (even those here in the legal process) the economy will suffer by 2026. If the US economy tanks it will be another huge embarrassment since the World Cup is going to be held in the USA. That should be a big money maker, but if there is a severe economic recession there may not be the money to make it sucessful.
I'd like to see Trump promise that he will accept the results of the election this time. But given his usual rhetoric his actions will likely be like 4 years ago, and violence will follow. Trump can't be trusted to do the right thing. He's not worthy of a single vote by any citizen.

Most really just want policy to improve their lives. Elections have people blow off steam while routing for their candidates.
Post election? We all know things will go on like usual with new scandals and corruption to propell itself into doing it all over again, and again, and again.....

I never thought people could be brainwashed in a free society but I was wrong. The dem party has successfully made a scary number of people that Trump and his supporters are actual nazis and I guess want to kill millions of jews or something. It is ridiculous and they know it is ridiculous but they have found out through Covid that they can brainwash millions of people and make them believe untrue things for their benefit. HIllary saying Trump is reenacting Hitler's 1939 rally, Kamala is saying he wants the military to be loyal to him, he is going to imprison media personalities and politicians that spoke out against him etc. This is a sickness that needs to stop. The left labels anything that does not line up with their progressive agenda as fascist.
Today, any challenge to progressive orthodoxy risks being labelled fascist. Question lax border security or the need for voter ID? Fascist. Happy that the Supreme Court has returned abortion as a political issue to the democratic deliberation of state legislatures? Fascist. Support free speech and oppose bureaucratic overreach? Also (somehow) fascist.
Labeling Trump as a nazi and fascist sullys the memory of the people that actually were affected and died by nazis and fascists.

I don't really care anymore, the election is here and I feel pretty good about Trump winning and the country being back on the road to sane and common sense policies on immigration, the border, foreign affairs and protection of our liberties.

Trump is torpedoed by his own words and actions. But you are willfully ignorant of those acts even when they are paraded before you as they have been here. Even though some of the polls have the election rather close there is another factor that people forget about. People that support Harris are excited to vote for her. Those that support Trump not so much. You can see that in the recent rallies. Trump people are not filling the same venues that Harris is, and then quite a few leave early.
