Harris with her so called 'black relatives' along with her background of slavers brought into serious question.

"so called" indicates that you think her relatives are somehow not her relatives. "brought into serious question" is a claim that there is a serious question about the subject.

I have a silly question: what's the big deal about people's bloodlines? Is all this hub-bub about Harris's family because Trump claimed the German part of his family was Swedish instead? I really don't get it.

It is all about Trump othering people to cast aspersions at them. This particular one was in an interview with a black journalist organization he claimed that she had just started calling herself black which wasn't true by any stretch, but that is Trump. Yes it isn't really a big deal, but it is also true that she grew up black in a place and time where your treatment and behaviour was often determined by your ethnicity.

Trump is just stirring **** as usual and his followers lap it up.

I think both needs to be called out on the smoke and deception about their family backgrounds.

Trump's line actually comes from Germany but given how unpopular Germans were back in the day , it's probably no surprise that the deception of Trump's so called 'Swedish' background had cropped up.

Just about every ethnicity has been "unpopular" at some place and time throughout history. And it appears we still haven't learned our lesson!

Of all the lies, errors, exaggerations, & terrible
promises to dwell upon, this is the stupidest
& most irrelevant.

I don't think their family backgrounds or the color of their skin matters at all; it's the content of their character which should be looked at.

This is why I saw we need a category for regular white people amd then another category for white people who do things like telling people, especially black politicians it seems, that they ain't really black because of whatever dumb reasons. It's like the very finicky social criteria to be considered Japanese, but if it were being done by people who are in no way Japanese.
Kamala has a black parent, she's always stated she's black just as much as Obama.

I'm sure the people who made that video are actually very very white in your world.

Interesting, no one I know calls anyone who is not from India an "Indian." They call Native Americans Native Americans and people from India Indians. They also call black people from the US "African Americans," as do I (all of these).
To the MAGAs, "African American" and "Native American" are "woke", and insulting to the REAL Americans.
