The promoters of Greta and XR should come clean and tell us the real reasons why they are vilifying carbon dioxide and those that have opposing opinions.
Which are?
The Left.
Then that's still not responding adequately to my post. Is it climate change hysteria you are fighting or progressing past fossil fuel technology?
The UK’s national broadcaster is left-wing and is refusing to allow balanced debate about climate change.
BBC bias: Douglas Carswell’s brilliant rant against ‘left-wing woke’ broadcaster revealed
When we are forced to pay for something, we expect it to be un-biased and give us opinions from both sides of the argument.
You're dodging my question, which suggests you don't have an answer. My sense is that you don't support climate change efforts because you don't want to change the industries that need improvement for both human and environmental health.
If terrorising children is the only way to win your argument then you need a better argument.
Where was terrorizing children implied in my response?
You may not have noticed but that is the modus operandi of the climate change activists.
This is why they have resorted to the likes of Greta and XR.
I admit some climate change activism uses language of doom and gloom and there are examples of hyperbole, but let's remember that the data does suggest that given current trends and continued use of polluting technology is going to have serious consequences children will have to deal with.
I know you disagree with the data, but you haven't responded to my questions regarding the benefits of switching to technologies less harmful to ourselves and the environment, which happens to be the same action scientists recommend for climate change.
Do you know the complete extent of the demands that the Greta’s of this world are demanding?
Will they ever be satisfied with the sacrifices that were are being forced to make.
...and this is why the perspective that educated young folks are being to the world table are so important.
If young folks were receiving an unbiased education presenting both sides of the argument, the world would be a much better place.
Yes, well...Having been just recently diving into this argument, it is clear that we do not have enough observation/information on "wobbling earth" — the long and short term effects that actually does shift the Equator's position.
Did see the ridiculous claims that "wobbling earth" is the result of man made conditions, though.
Might want to put an Article out there so that others can partake in this awareness!Yes, well...
it has recently stopped do to all the weight I have lost
Are they not? I am a high school teacher, and personally include both and have students weigh the data. Similarly, my colleagues do as well (I teach special ed and also work closely with the general ed folks necessarily in order to program for my students needs).
Either way, the other side of the argument lacks significant weight as this thread has shown.
Consider: recently one of the major arguments of climate change deniers was dealt a blow as a paper suggesting the sun as a major cause of global warming was retracted: Redirect Notice
And once again, no specific answer to my oft-repeated question about the "...benefits of switching to technologies less harmful to ourselves and the environment, which happens to be the same action scientists recommend for climate change."
Do you and your colleagues encourage your students to strike and attend Greta rallies or support XR?
