Simple question. A ufo that was 'different' enough to be labeled such, and clearly seen, not a glimpse.

A lot of UFO sightings are misidentified, but not allI saw a UFO at a Scout camp site many years ago.
Then we identified it (a foil flag on a tree reflecting a near-by spotlight).
This is the boring truth of countless UFO sightings.
Not really. All UFOs are unidentified by definition. Most are subsequently identified (at least with reasonable doubt) and thus stop being UFOs. A few remain unidentified (or disputed). Quite a lot are "misidentified" on the basis of presumption and confirmation bias as to being alien spacecraft or something similar but given that precisely zero of the countless identified (ex)UFOs have been alien spacecraft, such a presumption remains indefensible.A lot of UFO sightings are misidentified, but not all
Think the stats that I've read is that 95% of all ufo reports is misidentification, 5% is never identified. Not really. All UFOs are unidentified by definition. I blame H.G.Wells.

If any ufo was identified as alien, it would be front page news. Unfortunately it's not taken seriously by mainstream news/science so it will never make it onto the front page
HG Wells didn't create UFOs, it was reported long before Wells came around.
They're only "misidentified" when they're assumed to be spacecraft piloted by sentient alien beings yet there is zero rational reasoning to jump to that assumption. UFOs are unidentified until (unless) they're subsequently identified for what they actually are.Think the stats that I've read is that 95% of all ufo reports is misidentification, 5% is never identified.
Any discovery of alien life, let alone sentient alien life would be more than front page news. The only reason it isn't is because there has been no such discovery presented. UFOs generally aren't front page news (in any serious media) because they're not actually that special and certainly don't prove anything alone (other than maybe the power of human imagination and the weaknesses of human eyes). If any ufo was identified as alien, it would be front page news. That was largely a joke but the point is that Wells was at the forefront of the creative fiction that played such a role in forming the imagery now reflected in our perceptions of sentient aliens and spacecraft. Once upon a time, the same events would be attributed to gods or demons and if nobody had ever written stories about aliens and spaceships, maybe they still would.HG Wells didn't create UFOs, it was reported long before Wells came around.
What would you have done if you had one? If something survived galactic travel, your gun would be less than a bug being crushed by a windshield.all I has seen was a 3-4 ft diameter chrome sphere ,it was up maybe 300 ft just floating along . I do wish I'da had a gun
