It's also has a history of use as a slur to refer to any non-christian.
yep, but not in the context of this forum. "Non-christian" isn't exactly an indigenous european religion.

Yep. Almost everyone who doesn't know about heathenry uses the term "heathen" for non-christian and/or barbarian.
probably the oldest friend of mine made her own rune stones. she used cherry tree. remembering she told me it is related to Wikings. is origin of runes Heathens? do you use them?

The Germanic cultures came up with runes. I don't really use them much.
