Nobody is "pleading" to be an animal. There are only those of us who accept the fact that we are animals, rather than wallowing in denial.

If there is a heaven, and that heaven is interested in whether I self-describe as an ape or a human, then I'd be both surprised and disappointed.

Was anyone, at any time, ever, claiming they would stand before heaven and claim to be only an ape as any sort of defence or explanation? I doubt it.

So what is "Heaven" going to do with my ape parts? My history and identity and beliefs are all part of my meat self. But religious people keep telling me that all that matters to Heaven.

I don't think so which is why I don't believe religion much, or the religious people who claim to know more about the afterlife than I know.

The maker of "heaven" also made our brains, right? And, in his mighty omniscience, should know that doubt and reason are par for the course. So whether or not any of his creations believed in fanciful things, when he gave them thousands upon thousands of years worth of non-fanciful things to accept as the standard, shouldn't really matter.

If he's so insecure that he demands judgement for something that he created to begin with, then we're all kind of f$!(#ed.

According to my spiritual point of view, Apes are/were less-conscious than Humans. Apes upgraded into Humans/higher-consciousness, in order to upgrade into Supreme-consciousness/God.

Well I would say that heaven does give a damn.
Considering, according to the Bible, humans aren't animals, an animal standing before God and trying to enter Heaven would be making a hypocritical statement.

Viewing ourselves as some type of pinnacle of existence. It's arrogance.

We are one in a damn-hundred-bajillion types of awesome things, yet some believe we are like this bridge between animal and deity - as if that was something that "those lowly animals" aspired to be.

We live under the premise and authority of psychological constructs that we invented, yet view them on a higher plane of existence for some reason.

Apes didn't "upgrade" into humans. If you people could spend one week living within great ape societies you would no longer be inclined to entertain such arrogant ideas.
