But your book is pure imagination. My book tells what is really true.
There isn't any place in my book that says that Hell evolved out of people's fears.

To which hell are you referring?

The temporary biblical hell [sheol] is just the common grave of mankind where the unconscious dead sleep the deep sleep of death.

The permanent non-biblical hell is a pagan-myth hell where the conscious dead burn forever.

The stick to heavens carrot... a way to scare people into acting in the way you want them to.

wa:do

But you can't actually frighten anyone into heaven.

You might scare the hell out of them...but that doesn't mean they go to heaven.

The one described in the Bible.

This is incorrect. Sheol was never described as a place of fire.

The Bible also describes such a place but differently.

Hell is the place where the beer cans have holes in the bottom and the women don't. :D

Jesus does not refer to such a spiritual state as Hell. He calls it second death. Obviously negative memories are discomfitting and those in Hell have no recourse. Those in The Kingdom of God have all negative memories erased, so they can enjoy the present.

God is going to be kind enough to lobotomize anyone who makes it to heaven, so we can all sit around drooling for eternity. YAY

Is serving as a king and a priest [Rev. 5 vs 9,10; 20 v 6] sitting around drooling ?

Kings will serve to take care of governmental needs of earthly subjects.
Priests will serve to take care of the spiritual needs of earthly subjects.
-Psalm 72 v 8

This is even more absurd than the muslim heaven. What the hell would kings and priests be needed for. And where on this planet are you going to put the 100's of billions of people, truly whoever came up with such an unrealistic belief didn't think one nano second ahead.

We are counting from the time of Abel. The drowned people of Noah's day experienced a divine execution and will not be resurrected.
Anyone committing the unforgivable sin will also not be resurrected.
[Matthew 12 v 32; Hebrews 6 vs 4-6]
Those who are part of the MANY of Matthew chapter 7 will also experience destruction after the 'time of separation' of Matthew 25 vs 31,32.

No one wicked will be allowed to remain on earth:
-Proverbs 2 vs 21,22; 10 v 30; 21 v 18; Psalm 92 v 7; 37 vs 29, 38-40;
Jeremiah 25 vs 31-33; Isaiah 11 vs 3,4; Rev. 19 vs 11,15

Not only 'kings and priests' but also 'princes' in all the earth.-Psalm 45 v 16
Jesus will reign from heaven over earth for one-thousand years.
Jesus has joint-heirs [Romans 8 v 17] who reign with him.
They will govern over earthly subjects [Psalm 72 v 8]
As kings they will take care of governmental needs of earthly subjects.
As priests they will take care of the spiritual needs of those living on earth.

The 'princes' of Psalm 45 v 16 will be those resurrected on earth such as Abraham, Noah, Moses, etc. because they will have an earthly resurrection during Jesus messianic 1000-year reign over earth. -Hebrews 11 vs 13,39

What would obedience have brought at Exodus 19 vs 5,6 ?

In my opinion, Hell, if it exists at all as anything beyond living in our own guilt in this lifetime -- is more like a Purgatory. I believe everyone gets to Heaven, eventually.

I didn't think it possible to make it sound even more absurd, but you have.:facepalm:
What about all the people for the 200,000yrs before Abel?
Jesus is going to rule over Earth but he needs leaders of your sect to do the heavy lifting? I would have thought that if god was taking over he wouldn't actually need any help, there would certainly be no need for governments or religion.:sad:

According to 1st Corinthians 15 v 24 at the end of Messiah's millennial reign over earth he will hand back God's kingdom back to God.

Messiah reigns [verses 25,26] only until all enemies are put under his feet.
That includes our last enemy which is 'death' being brought to nothing.
-Rev 21 vs 4,5; Isaiah 65 vs 16-25

Would God's command or law to Adam 'do not eat' be government or religion?

Before Adam sinned wasn't Adam theocratic [God's ruled] in his thinking ?
Who did Adam worship before sinning ?

Many people think they are headed for heaven at death.
According to Scripture before Jesus went to heaven Jesus was in hell.
- Acts 2 vs 27,31; Psalm 16 v 10

The 'biblical hell' [sheol] is the common grave of mankind.
The temporary Bible's hell ends up vacant of all people, and is cast empty into a symbolic 'second death'. Jesus has the keys to unlock hell.
- Revelation 20 vs 13,14; 1 v 18

So, according to Scripture hell does exist, but Not exists in the form of the 'non-biblical pagan burning forever myth hell' but as the common grave.
Dead people just sleep in the Bible's hell.
Sleep until resurrected or awakened out of hell to either heaven for some to reign with Christ for a thousand years [ Rev 20 v 6], but the majority of people resurrected back to life on a paradisaic earth during Jesus 1000-year reign over earth.

John 11 vs 11-14;
Psalms 6 v 5; 13 v 3; 115 v 17; 146 v 4;
Ecclesiastes 9 v 5.
Daniel 12 vs 2,13
