Here's a scary thought...

I hope that those who voted for Donald Trump really are true believers, because one thing is becoming extraordinarily clear: Donald Trump is set to be the single most powerful President in American history, for at least the next 2 years. Consider:
  • He's got the Senate wrapped up, and likely the House.
  • His court appointments, along with how that impacted the Supreme Court in granting him immunity to pretty much anything, ensure that he'll win every attempt to constrain him legally. This will get worse as he appoints more judges. (He has already ordered the Senate to stop confirming judicial appointments from the current administration.)
  • The three Republicans seeking to replace Mitch McConnell as Senate Majority Leader have already kowtowed to his first demand -- "grant me scrutiny-free appointments."
  • Because of that scrutiny-free appointment power, powerful positions will be filled by under-qualified Trump loyalists, who will do his bidding without respect to predictable outcomes.
So, as I said, he really had better be the savior so many of you were looking for, because you've granted him almost unlimited power to do whatever the hell he wants.
These guys are not fooling around. Thus far it appears they fully intend to get busy deporting migrants, and with Stephen Miller in charge it will be a brutal as necessary to "cleanse American blood". There's an estimated 4.7 households in the USA with mixed immigration status, meaning if the MAGAs are uncompromising families will be broken apart, or all deported as an option. What about personal property, like cars and houses? Those will be lost. One MAGA official is saying that undocumented migrants with property had better get their affairs in order in the next few months.

If this all happens as seems likely it will be videoed and reported on. I doubt the MAGAdministration will answer any questions and try to conseal these acts. Even if they did a modest round up and deportation it will create chaos for any communities and businesses. There's going to be backlash. This type of massive deportation can only appeal to those who are morally damaged.

IF it were just Trump it would be fine

There are many billionaires who make this happen, and who will literally kill thousands without shame, IMO of course, I hope I'm wrong though
Unlike the Italian, I don't fear that billionaires
want to kill me. They lack the power.
But politicians....they use their power to kill.

I expect they'll find it more difficult
to deport so many than their
exhortations made it seem.

I beg to differ. The unchecked ambition of billionaire oligarchs, becoming increasingly open about having politicians in their pockets, should concern us all.

That, and wealth distribution matters. There is a direct correlation between the rich getting richer, and the poor getting poorer.
The evidence you didn't present is convincing.....not.

And then the execution camps start?
His planned budget cuts would make
it impossible to build them. Trump
hasn't thought through any of this.
Like his making a Fox News host the
Secretary Of Defense.
How could that go wrong, eh.

Musk can't get rich, except at the cost of others
There's some truth to this, but blame Obama & Biden too.
Tesla became wealthy because of heavy government subsidy
of both Tesla & its customers. As I recall, taxpayers paid for
about 30% of each car.
I've no burning desire to own a car that requires perfectly
operating software & electronics for the doors to open.
