LOL President Trump had a secret bank account in China - he made a lot of money "off of" them himself.

Oh, you're a mind reader?

Yes, actual name. Um yeah, did you miss the part where I said COVID-19 and SARS-COV-2? Nobody in the science community (that I'm aware of) had branded it the "China Virus." That was just Trump's personal thing. Not sure if you remembered what happened In 2020, but crimes against Asians increased by 150%. Perhaps that is what those evil Democrats, MSM, big tech, and sports entertainment feared would happen if Trump kept calling it "China Virus" and "Kung Flu." Hmmm ...

It's call MERS-CoV and it originated in Saudi Arabia.

Do you know of anyone in the science community (you know, where these names come from) who referred to it as "China Virus" Or "Kung-Flu" (Trump's other pet name for it which definitely has some racist connotations)?

Oh yes, he was upset about that. And what did Trump do to contain the virus or do anything at all to stop it from spreading like wildfire across the country? Heck, he couldn't even bring himself to ask people to wear masks, while making sure to mock those who did wear them.

How does this help us do anything about it? It doesn't. It's just pointless scapegoating.

Yep, it did. I watched it happen on live television.

Oh, it was pretty clear to me that Trump had just learned only minutes before how to use disinfectants to clean surfaces, probably having never done before it in his entire life. Somebody had probably just shown it to him before he came out for the press conference. Then he thought he had some brilliant idea about injecting it into bodies. It would have been hilarious if it wasn't so alarming.

I watched it live.

Sounds like you didn't watch it.
Quite the secret account, if i see it on rf

Hollywood, the MSM, Democrats, big tech, sports entertainment - you name it - bend over backwards not to upset China - because they make a lot of money off of China.

They didn't like it when President Trump called it the "China Virus" - because it made China look bad - even though many diseases have been named after the place they originated.

"Actual" name?

You understand that there have been other coronaviruses before this one?

For example - Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) - is a coronavirus.

It is called MERS because it originated int he Middle East - in Jordan.

It is not stupid to label a disease after where it originated - it's actually a very common practice.

He spoke openly about why he did it.

Chinese spokespeople were making the claim that CVOID-19 had originated from U.S. soldiers.

They tried to blame the U.S. for the pandemic.

So - he wanted everyone to know that it originated in China - not the U.S.

He was also upset because the Chinese government spent weeks covering up that they were responsible for the outbreak - rather than containing it or at least warning other countries about it.

China is responsible for the pandemic and he wants everyone to know it.

This never happened. Its propaganda produced by the MSM.

Experts noted that disinfectants killed the virus on contact so he asked a group of experts if there was any way we could use that internally somehow.

You can easily find the video or at least the transcript of that conversation. Trump was on T.V. in front of the press almost every day - you can find it.

You are spreading misinformation.
So the governments of the countries of origin of new viral pathogens are responsible for their emergence? How?

Because Trump knows nothing about science, toxicology, or disinfectants, he makes stupid proposals about those things.

Trump wanted to feed his hungry flock something they wanted to hear. He knows his base and what fires up their emotions. Clearly it worked.

Yes but not actually my point.
You can study the rocks, gases,
photos, seis data etc. just fine in a lab,
and get a great deal of info.

You cant get the sun into s lab either.
Dyson sphere.

I do get your point. The notion of a giant lab just popped into my head and made me laugh a little.

Most people don't know the days, weeks, months and years poured over laboratory study of material collected in the field and the wealth of information it can yield. That interface between the field and the lab is one of my favorite functional parts of science. Taking those things collected in the field back to the lab to test and examine in greater detail to see what they hold and reveal about the larger world.

So the governments of the countries of origin of new viral pathogens are responsible for their emergence? How?
No - I did not make this claim and I don't know where you got it from.

What I said was that it is a common practice to name new diseases or viruses after where they originated or even by the person that first had them or those who first discovered them.

The naming of a new disease or virus does not imply any sort of responsibility or blame on the place where it originated, the person who was first discovered to have it or the person who first discovered it.

However - in the case of China and COVID-19 - responsibility and blame should be placed on the CCP because they lied about the virulency and deadliness of the virus and covered up the outbreak for weeks - which led to it spreading, infecting and killing many more people than it should have.
Because Trump knows nothing about science, toxicology, or disinfectants, he makes stupid proposals about those things.
What "proposals" are you referring to?

He never "proposed" that anyone drink or inject Bleach - so you can't be referring to that.

Are you talking about him banning travel? Or that we shouldn't need to shut down our entire economy to stay safe?

What "proposals" are you referring to?
Trump wanted to feed his hungry flock something they wanted to hear.
Are you talking about the truth that COVID-19 originated in China?
He knows his base and what fires up their emotions. Clearly it worked.
The truth is always more convincing than lies or threats.

No - I did not make this claim and I don't know where you got it from.
I got it right from you post.
You said, "He was also upset because the Chinese government spent weeks covering up that they were responsible for the outbreak - rather than containing it or at least warning other countries about it.

Maybe you didn't say that. It looked like you did. Difficult to tell with the way you post.

However - in the case of China and COVID-19 - responsibility and blame should be placed on the CCP because they lied about the virulency and deadliness of the virus and covered up the outbreak for weeks - which led to it spreading, infecting and killing many more people than it should have.

LOL President Trump had a secret bank account in China - he made a lot of money "off of" them himself.
Unsurprisingly - you ignored my point.

If you are willing to overlook the heinous human rights violations and murders committed by the CCP - then you are free to make money in China.

The point I was making was that there are many people and corporations in the U.S. who are willing to lie and push CCP propaganda in order to appease their meal ticket - China.

Therefore - Trump referring to COVID as the "China Virus" upset them - because it upset China - who maintain to this day that COVID originated in the U.S.

Trump hasn't lied or pushed CCP propaganda - he has fought back against lies and CCP propaganda - and that upset a lot of people here in the U.S. who rely on China.

Why do you describe it as a "secret" bank account? Was it "secret" because you didn't know about it?

A real estate tycoon having a bank account in the country that he was trying do business with is a "secret" to you?

He also has bank accounts in Britain and Ireland - oh he is so mysterious! All those secrets!

As far as I know - Trump never completed any deals or business transactions in China.
Oh, you're a mind reader?
Yes.
Yes, actual name. Um yeah, did you miss the part where I said COVID-19 and SARS-COV-2? Nobody in the science community (that I'm aware of) had branded it the "China Virus."
So? And why do you think that is?

Why name one coronavirus MERS - but not mention where the other one originated?

Who owns large portions of big pharma?
That was just Trump's personal thing.
I assume he did take it personal when the CCP claimed that COVID originated in the U.S.

He wanted to set the record straight and he did so boldly and unapologetically.
Not sure if you remembered what happened In 2020, but crimes against Asians increased by 150%.
Anti-Asian hate crimes also spiked in 2008 - was that Trump's fault too?

I love how people use the percentage (150%) to try and inflate the outrage - when if you used the raw numbers, you'd come up with something like an increase from 8 to 20.

And who are the ones committing these hate crimes? And where are these hate crimes occurring?

Are they being committed by "white supremacists"? Nope - most are Black on Asian crimes.

Are they being committed in MAGA country? Nope - I believe all took place in heavily Democrat cities.

And they tried to inflate those numbers even more by just claiming that crimes were "hate crimes" whenever they involved a minority.

How many of these hate crimes were actually prosecuted as such?
Perhaps that is what those evil Democrats, MSM, big tech, and sports entertainment feared would happen if Trump kept calling it "China Virus" and "Kung Flu." Hmmm ...
Really?

They didn't seem to think that way when Maxine Waters was telling her constituents to "draw a crowd and push back on them" when someone they noticed a member of Trump's cabinet in public.

Or when Kamala Harris posted bail for rioters, and she claimed that the violence wasn't going to stop and that it shouldn't stop.

They didn't blame Bernie Sanders when Scalise was shot.

I remember Don Lemon claiming that it "wasn't evil" for three young Black people to kidnap and torture a white mentally handicapped kid because he supported Trump.

Chris Cuomo even asked us where it was written that protests should be peaceful.

Or when all those celebrities claimed they wanted to blow up the White House or assassinate Trump.

We can't blame Sanders for what happened to Scalise (I do blame Waters, Harris, various celebrities and CNN for a lot of violence because they promoted and enabled it) - but you cannot blame Sanders for what happened to Scalise.

Just like you cannot blame Trump for anything that happened to Asians in the U.S. - which was done by Black people in heavily Democrat cities - not White people in MAGA country.
It's call MERS-CoV and it originated in Saudi Arabia.
What do the M and E in MERS-CoV stand for?

Middle East - the region where it originated - proving that it is not "stupid" to refer to a disease - or a coronavirus - by the place where it originated.

And - no - health officials first reported the disease in Saudi Arabia in September 2012 - but investigations later proved that the first known cases of MERS occurred in Jordan in April 2012.
Do you know of anyone in the science community (you know, where these names come from) who referred to it as "China Virus" Or "Kung-Flu" (Trump's other pet name for it which definitely has some racist connotations)?
No - and I also don't know which among them are beholden to China - like the WHO.

I don't think it is racist to refer to COVID as the "China Virus" - and "Kung Flu" is just funny - and appropriate given that China maintains that U.S. is responsible for COVID.

I believe that it is okay to mock lying despots.
Oh yes, he was upset about that.
As every American - and all other people on Earth - should be.
And what did Trump do to contain the virus or do anything at all to stop it from spreading like wildfire across the country?
I remember he was called xenophobic for banning travel - and he got everyone respirators and masks - and spearheaded the development of the vaccines we all use today.
Heck, he couldn't even bring himself to ask people to wear masks, while making sure to mock those who did wear them.
There was a time when Fauci himself laughed at the idea of everyone wearing masks.

Masks are almost completely ineffective at slowing the spread of any virus.

And when you say "ask" - you really mean "force" don't you?
How does this help us do anything about it? It doesn't. It's just pointless scapegoating.
Knowing where the virus originated would have helped us contain its spread - but the CCP lied about it and covered it up for weeks - leading to many deaths.

If COVID is proven to have been leaked from a lab - then the information of where that lab is can help us shut it down for good.

I'd also like to see reparations made to the world by China.

Why are you defending China? Do you get paid by them too?

I bet if it was revealed that the U.S. was behind a virus that ravaged the world, you'd want people to know about it.
Yep, it did. I watched it happen on live television.
Nope - he was talking to a group of medical experts about the prospect of using UV light in the body to kill the virus.

And he asked the same group of medical experts if disinfectants could also be used in the body.

He didn't make any propositions or suggestions - he read their reports on what killed the virus and he asked them how they could be implemented.
Oh, it was pretty clear to me that Trump had just learned only minutes before how to use disinfectants to clean surfaces, probably having never done before it in his entire life. Somebody had probably just shown it to him before he came out for the press conference.
Aw - now you are the mind reader? :p
Then he thought he had some brilliant idea about injecting it into bodies.
We use radiation and poison to kill cancer.

Asking a team of medical experts about the potential uses of disinfectants is not making a proposition or suggestion.
It would have been hilarious if it wasn't so alarming.
Only stupid or heavily biased people found it alarming.

Reasonable people did not see any instruction to drink or inject Bleach.
I watched it live.
Impossible - since it never happened.
Sounds like you didn't watch it.
I did watch it and my first thought was, "I wonder how that team of medical experts are going to try and use disinfectants to kill the virus."

Only idiots watching that thought Trump was claiming that we should drink or inject Bleach.

Next to that, he's also simply a blithering idiot.

I remember in his first year in office, a few big storms were approaching the US coast. In a briefing, he suggested to simply nuke them asking if that would destroy them.

Apparently, you could hear a needle drop in the room for several seconds that followed. People were asking themselves if he really was this stupid, or if it was an attempt at a joke, in which case it was a rather stupid joke.

And then there's the whole injecting bleach thingy and what not.

Trump's presidency was simply 4 years of real-life satire.

I got it right from you post.
You said, "He was also upset because the Chinese government spent weeks covering up that they were responsible for the outbreak - rather than containing it or at least warning other countries about it.

China is responsible for the pandemic and he wants everyone to know it."
Aw - I understand what you are saying now.

I do believe that any country that discovers a new virulent deadly disease is responsible for trying to contain it and warn other countries about it.

They may not be responsible for its "emergence" - unless they themselves developed it of course - but they are responsible for how they respond to it.

China is responsible for the pandemic and the entire world should know it.
This common practice was not a convention set up in science.
So?

It is still not stupid, wrong or racist to name or refer to a disease by where it originated - or where it is believed to have originated - or any other name for that matter.

Chickenpox have nothing to do with chickens - and no one is hating chickens when they refer to it as such.
The names come from the popular press most often or former presidents with agendas.
Again - so?

Even though there is no evidence that the Great influenza Epidemic of 1918 originated in Spain - the media labelled it the "Spanish Flu".

It was and is not racist to refer to it as such and I don't believe anyone was blamed for any violence that happened to Spanish people at that time - besides those who committed the violence of course.

It was the CCP who made it political when they lied about where COVID originated and President Trump had every right to set the record straight.
It seems there are more appropriate people to do the naming and that is why they are.
Considering that there is nothing "inappropriate" with naming the Varicella Zoster Virus "chickenpox", or the coronavirus that originated in Jordan Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or H1N1 Influenza A Virus the "Spanish Flu" - I don't see how referring to COVID-19 as the "China Virus" or "Wuhan Virus" is inappropriate.

Especially when there is an international interest in designating it as such.
Maybe you didn't say that. It looked like you did. Difficult to tell with the way you post.
It's only difficult when you bring up "emergence" of the disease when I was talking about the nation's response to the outbreak.
What are we talking about? You following this? He proposed that the internal use of disinfectants be looked into without any knowledge of what most people already know.
He had just been discussing with medical experts the possibility of using UV light inside the body.

They had already been developing a way to insert a tube into the lung that exposes it to UV light.

He then asked if the same medical experts could find a way to use disinfectants internally as well.

He isn't a medical researcher - He doesn't know what they can and cannot do - what technologies or methods could be employed.

Which is why he asked them. He did not make a proposal or suggestion - he asked medical experts their professional opinion about the results they had shared with him concerning the effectiveness of disinfectants killing the virus.

No one knew that we could put UV light inside of our lungs - so asking if there was anything else we didn't know is reasonable.

You are just looking for anything to burn President Trump on because you do not like him.
I didn't need Trump to tell me where the evidence indicates it originated. I have no idea what you are going on about now.
You claimed that President Trump made "stupid proposals" about "science, toxicology, or disinfectants" - and I asked you what "proposals" you were referring to.

He never "proposed" that anyone inject or drink Bleach - so you couldn't have been referring to that.

The CCP claimed that COVID originated in the U.S. and the MSM was subtly perpetuating that lie by asking if it had.

So, you are damn right President Trump needed to tell you that COVID originated in China.

If he hadn't, I believe there would be a huge possibility that you would be claiming that COVID originated in Florida - just like the CCP.

Pure ad hominem.
Sorry, but your arguments on this subject are biased, hand-waving posts, riddled with racism.
You could very well not be racist, but your arguments certainly are.
In other words, I branded your arguments, not your person, as those things I mentioned.
I mean, why you felt you had to mention that the increase in anti-Asian crime has something to do with "Black on Asian crimes" is beyond me. But it smacks of racism, for one example.

Aw - now you are the mind reader? :p
No mind reading skills necessary.

It's super easy to tell when Trump has just learned something new because he feels the need to tell everybody in a press conference, as though we're all just learning it to.
Remember when he first heard of Frederick Douglass?
"Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more, I notice.”

... Or some other gems ...

"France is America's first and oldest ally. A lot of people don't know that."

"Most people don't even know he [Abraham Lincoln] was a Republican. Right? Does anyone know? A lot of people don't know that."

"That Iraq has large oil reserves: "People don't know this about Iraq."

Everybody knows these things already.
