Who else is there?
Libertarians are the 3rd biggest party.
We had a good candidate in 2020.
She's way better than Hil, Don, or Joe.
We could run her again in 2024.
But Dems & Pubs also have much better than they ran in 2016 & 2020.

And therein lies the voter's problem: how do you determine the real agenda of someone seeking public office and power? Sure, we check out their platform, listen carefully to their speeches, see what they do when challenged in a debate, and so on. But for the most part, all we really have is their history.

I am a great believer in the notion that, by and large, we humans (once we've reached some level of maturity) really don't change all that much. As a result, I've found that Behavioural-Focused Interviewing (BFI) can be very helpful in choosing the best candidates for difficult roles, or for expensive, company-sponsored MBA programs and so on. When push comes to shove, how you react in most situtations will not differ so very much from how you reacted in very similar situations in the past.

So, in fact, I don't listen to politica speeches and debates so much. I try to learn the history of candidates.

I don't claim that I'm a better voter than anybody else -- in the end, everyone with great responsibility will face situations they've never faced before, so there's no way to predict how they'll behave. But I think I do better when it comes to the business of managing day-to-day government.
People have records in office (usually).
Past is prologue.

In the news....
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/10/hil...speak-at-new-york-democratic-convention-.html
Excerpted....
Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is expected to speak at next week’s New York State Democratic Party Convention, according to people familiar with the matter.

Clinton, who previously represented New York in the U.S. Senate, is likely to take the stage in front of party leaders at the Sheraton hotel in Times Square, these people said.e

The development comes as Clinton, who also was secretary of State during the first half of President Barack Obama’s administration, works to maintain relevance in a party that could be headed for defeat in this year’s midterm elections.

It may also stoke speculation about a potential new Clinton bid for elected office. Two of her allies last month had an op-ed published in The Wall Street Journal suggesting Clinton could run for president in 2024 as President Joe Biden’s approval ratings have fallen dramatically. Clinton has said she would not run for president again after her loss to Donald Trump in 2016.

“She’s beloved by the mainstream members of the Democratic Party and her popularity is likely higher than that of President Biden. It’s good for her because it keeps her relevant and her appearance is likely meant to galvanize the party and the audience,” said one of the people who said Clinton is set to speak at next week’s event.

Who is it? I like Gary Johnson and wish he would run again.
