Homophopic........ Me ?

Well I think there is enough in the Bible saying about this. And I think there is enough in the world today to say about this. For the record I do not fear homosexuals, isn't that what a phobia is ? Actually I encourage the LGBT community to carry on and eventually dominate all of society. I would encourage anyone with grace to be like minded, remember S and G ?
You're wanting LGBT community to dominate all of society and after they do, you want them all to die? That's how I read it, I might be wrong though.

You judged them, and then immediately said it is not for you to judge them. It is obviously contradictory and hypocritical.

Where did I say I judge them? My opinion is that the homosexual act is unclean but I won't harm someone in any way because they do so.

Get yourself a thesaurus. Whether you say "my judgment is", or "I consider it" or "my opinion is" it all means the same thing. This is your judgement.

This is immediately apparent to every reasonable person who reads this:
I consider homosexual acts as something unclean but it's not on me to judge
But you will never see it.

I was just going by Genesis 19 (mostly because I've never read Ezekiel :D ):

And they called unto Lot, and said unto him: ‘Where are the men that came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.’ 6And Lot went out unto them to the door, and shut the door after him. 7And he said: ‘I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly. 8Behold now, I have two daughters that have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes; only unto these men do nothing; forasmuch as they are come under the shadow of my roof.’ 9And they said: ‘Stand back.’ And they said: ‘This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs play the judge; now will we deal worse with thee, than with them.

The Ezekiel verses I listed are about the Sodom story.

And everyone seems to miss the given clue as to the meaning of "know" - in Gen 9.

Gen 19:9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them.

The angels came to Judge and punish, and the men wanted to get their hands on them first - to Judge and punish.

The other - yada - story is Jdg 19:22.

Jdg 19:22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

Jdg 20:3 (Now the children of Benjamin heard that the children of Israel were gone up to Mizpeh.) Then said the children of Israel, Tell us, what was this wickedness?

Jdg 20:4 And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was slain, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that belongeth to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.

Jdg 20:5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round about upon me by night, and thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.

Not have sex with him, - KILL HIM!

We actually find YHVH using a form of YADA (Gen 18:21) when he says he is going down to ascertain and judge, and pronounce judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah. The way he is using it in the sentence, - is to inquire - and pass judgment. In this teaching story when YHVH uses yada - he sets the meaning for the whole story.

And obviously he isn't saying he is going down for some gay sex. LOL!

Gen 18:21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I know.

Also it was ALL the people - not just men as in the translation. The word actually means people.

Gen 19:4 But before they lay down, the men (people) of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

I am going to have to stick up for Raahim.

He is saying that he personally finds the acts repulsive but does not see the person as inherently bad for doing it.

I'm trying to figure out why they find such acts so repulsive when it is a homosexual couple, but not when it is a heterosexual couple.

The billions spent on the porn industry tells us most heterosexual men like anal sex, and they obviously like fellatio, and sex toys.

So homosexual couples aren't doing any basic sex acts that heterosexual couples aren't also doing.

I have my theories, but the only way to find out for sure is to ask them.

If this is still active I must say I am really saddened by the level of debate here. I am informed that this thread is being removed, " My Fault " ? Just asking the questions so many might have these days. Guess I am being judged by the ...........?

Why? Because most disagree with you?

Yes but saying you find someone repulsive is a judgment in and of itself, is it not?

If I say I find fat guys with their shirts off at the beach repulsive, but that they have a right to be there, don't you think I'm placing a judgment on the fat guys at the beach? Don't you suppose if the fat guys at the beach heard me say that, they might feel badly about it? Expressing disgust towards something someone does is a judgment on that person, despite any backpedaling that might occur in the second half of the sentence.

And why is it that the religious bigots always focus on how repulsive homosexual acts are? First of all ask nearly any man and he's not going to say he finds a sex act between Scarlett Johannsson and Megan Fox repulsive. We're only talking about gay men here, let's be perfectly honest.

Also where are the religious cries out against octogenarian sex? Ever see two 85 year olds having sex? That's pretty repulsive. What about sex between two 400+ pound people? Think that's a visual delight? What about very ugly people? What about Janet Reno having sex with Steve Buscemi? That has to be some repulsive stuff right there.

No religious outcry about any of that. Odd.

Sometimes I feel like the only purpose religion has these days is to keep the fight against homosexuals alive and kicking. It's a ponderous obsession for folks who supposedly have such light in their lives and kindness in their hearts.

Some people can separate their feelings about someones actions and them as a person. It does take some maturity, but it is possible.

I agree bigotry is very rarely rational.

Don't get me wrong, Raahim gets no extra respect from me because he only hates the sin, not the sinner.

But i don't think you should be denigrating a person for showing tolerance for people he does not agree with, when the alternative is sooooo much worse.

Nevertheless, the statement itself was hypocritical. In the very same sentence he give us his judgement on the act, and then says he does not pass judgement.
I consider homosexual acts as something unclean but it's not on me to judge
That is a judgement. He is entitled to his opinion, but to follow that immediately by saying he does not pass judgement is hypocritical. And that is my judgment. And just as he is passing judgement on the act and not the person, so I am passing judgment on the statement he made, I am not denigrating anyone. But his statement was hypocritical, and I stand by that judgement.

In the words of the greatest Judge to ever live, "don't **** on my leg and tell me it's raining".

Fair enough, I understand your point and the alternative is definitely worse.

Still, as others seem to agree, calling someone's actions "repulsive" is a judgment on that person, and saying something like that followed by "but I'm not judging you" is sort of annoying on some level.

I mean if I said to a religious person "I'm not judging you but find your faith repulsive" don't you suppose they might still take offense?
