Failing because I have no idea what it is you wanting to know.
Failing because instead of explaining, you have decided to try being a smart arse.
Failing because your question is not relevant to the tangent it first appeared in.

Care to try again or are you dead set at continuing with your feeble attempts at being a smart arse?

Yeah...OK...
Listen Subhood,
M is right, your questions and conclusions made absolutely no sense.
Then you assume M is "mad" because you showed that the Bible must be wrong.
Do a little research, know about that which you are speaking of, and who you are speaking to before making rash statement and false assumptions.
:facepalm:

heres my conclusion.

can u prove there is a god
can u prove jesus existed
can u prove there are angels
can u prove there are demons

i can prove the dinosaurs existed

I made a simple question simply wanted to know why so many people can look to the Bible for answers and say it is based on actual people and events but the answer to my question is no where to be found in the book.
This book talks about creation and how the world was made, proven lie. I simply wanted to know if maybe i have overlooked something and and the Bible is just made up stories or is fact.

Religion wasn't created by christians or any religious sect just re-invented.
It is the stories of people trying to answer the unknown without the basis of fact.
All throughout history, if people didn't like something, they questioned it and created something new.

All I am doing is simply questioning.

I guess I was wrong about my assumption of MR. M , my apologies
Fact still remains neither of you have answered the question

Do you know their names?
Personally I like Samuel the best.
He didn't eat me...
Now I am being a smart arse.

I made a simple question simply wanted to know why so many people can look to the Bible for answers and say it is based on actual people and events but the answer to my question is no where to be found in the book.
Um...
Here is a list of all the questions asked by you in this thread:
for all you people who believe in god, please explain the dinosaurs? {post 260}

then where did dinosaurs come from, whose image were they created in and why are they not in the bible{post 262}

they are pertinent to truth though, are they not?{post 264}

failing because you don't know the answer?
or failing because i question made up stories and base my opinions on actual facts and not speculation or interpretation?{post 266}
Would you please be so kind as to tell me which one of them translates into:
I made a simple question simply wanted to know why so many people can look to the Bible for answers and say it is based on actual people and events but the answer to my question is no where to be found in the book.
Cause I cannot tell.

What is a proven lie, who proved it, and what is their proof?

I guess I was wrong about my assumption of MR. M , my apologies
Water under the bridge.

Fact still remains neither of you have answered the question
Interestingly enough, I still do not know what it is that you are actually asking.

If you look back to my first and original post i stated

for all you people who believe in god, please explain the dinosaurs.

I was looking for someone who can answer this question being that the bible refers to the story of creation which simply cannot make sense. Did he create the world twice try one time with dinosaurs wasn't happy, then killed them all then started anew?

Biblical Christains (who take the Bible literally) respond that they have more faith in the Bible, which consistently and basically lays down a detailed and dated history of mankind, than in the beliefs and estimates of anthropologists whose dates and views of human evolution and origins are often shifting, and based upon what they themselves bring to their finding by way of opinion, prefered view or model, or school of thought.

the Bible describes Noah's flood as being global. while a local flood may have occured as well, the Great Flood of Noah was described as being global and total in scale. rock structures in and of themselves around the world do indicate the depoisting of huge layers of sediment quickly and globally, and not just locally. geologists *may* read this as evidence of one global flood (or for others as evidence of many great flood over time and place), yet large layers of sediment do appead around the world, and not just in one place.

no where in the Bible does it say that the sun circles the earth. it is mentioned that the sun has stood still in the sky, and that the sun moved across the sky, but this is more an observation of how it would indeed look from earth, not a statement on which body orbits which.

I ask these questions as I am truly perplexed, not having a go at you.

How do you continue to believe and have faith in the bible when it is rife with misinformation, misleading and at times outright lies. My examples are:
Mankind is around 4000-6000 years old. Science has proven beyond any doubt that we are at least 60, 000 years old for homo-sapiens, then we have all of the other variations of man prior.

Noah's flood was global. It was regional! Sediment layers, ice cores and many many other facts provea global flood as incorrect.

The sun goes up and down. The earth orbit the sun and may give this appearance to assuming people- but if the bible was the word of god then this literary error would not have occurred.
If the bible really and truly is the word of god, how did these very fundamental facts get so wrong? There are literally hundreds more, but I use these 3 are they have been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Subhood ~

the Bible describes all living beats as being created on the sixth day. this would have included the giant reptiles we now call "dinosaurs" today.

the Bible does describe a number of creatures of incredible size, strength, and power which don't quite match descriptions of any known living creature today, as well as animals called "tanniyn", which is often translated into English as "dragon" or "serpent" .

in addition, petroglyphs looking remarkably like known dinosaurs (e.g. sauropods) are often discovered around the world, and though these are often taken to represent imaginary or composite creatures, many look physiologically more like dinosaurs than like anything mythical.

as to what happened to the dinosaurs, many Biblical literalists surmise that dinosaurs survived the flood (thanks to at least a handful of viable variaties being kept on the ark), and later died off due to massive environmental changes, and the later spread of humans.

#1 no where in scripture have I seen it say man kind or the earth was 4,000-6,000 years old its all how you interpret or whos teachings you listen to.
Don't Matthew 1:1–17 and Luke 3:23–28 present detailed genealogies of Jesus showing 75 generations from Adam? Even using some of the more generous ages for some of these people, 4,000 to 6,000 years is stretching it.

I would suggest looking through 'answers in the Quran'. i'm sure there are some there too.
BTW: there is no prove for or against Invisible Pink Unicorns. go ahead, believe in them, they'll take you to the meddow of love and happiness if you do.
Blessed be Her holy hooves.

Your question doesn't even make sense in terms of people who believe in the Bible. They don't believe that every creature was made in God's image, only people. People who believe in God would say that dinosaurs were made by God, obviously.

I don't think you've thought this atheist thing through completely.

And please note my religion before replying.

Yup. They say they know better that anthropologists. Also archeologists. Also geologists, astronomers, biologists, physicists, cosmologists, paleontologists, and scientists in general. They reject science as a method of learning about the world. What's really ironic is that they do it on their computer!

the Bible describes Noah's flood as being global. while a local flood may have occured as well, the Great Flood of Noah was described as being global and total in scale.
Yup. That's how we know it's wrong.
rock structures in and of themselves around the world do indicate the depoisting of huge layers of sediment quickly and globally, and not just locally.
Not exactly. What they actually indicate is that there have been thousands of local depositions. That is, the evidence shows that most of the world has been underwater at one time or another, but the entire world has never been underwater at once.
geologists *may* read this as evidence of one global flood (or for others as evidence of many great flood over time and place),
They may, except they don't, because they base their conclusions on the evidence, and the evidence is clear that there has never been one global flood. I can't think of a single geologist who accepts Noah's flood, can you? It's too inconsistent with the evidence.
yet large layers of sediment do appead around the world, and not just in one place.
Yup. Because, as I said, most of the world has been underwater at one time or another.

There is only so much water. The land slowly and gradually moves. The water fills in the low spots. When mountains arise, slowly, the water slowly sinks to fill in the low spots. That's what the evidence shows.

no where in the Bible does it say that the sun circles the earth. it is mentioned that the sun has stood still in the sky, and that the sun moved across the sky, but this is more an observation of how it would indeed look from earth, not a statement on which body orbits which.

Well, here's what we have:

In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, 5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat.[psalm 19]

Also a lot about the firmament, and stars etc. being stuck into it "for signs" and the like.
