How big is the Universe?

The Source of The Qur'an is our Creator and The Creator of the universe (God/Allah)

Another example from the Qur'an on the start of the universe:

THE SPLITTING ASUNDER OF "THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH"

Do those who disbelieve not see that the heavens and the earth were sewn together and then We unstitched them and that We made from water every living thing? So will they not believe? (Qur'an, 21:30)

9/10 people will disagree with you if they have any scientific background.
If this idol Allah created this mess, why is he destroying it? Just because he hates us, because he is bored? If Allah created the universe i will convert to Islam but im happy right now with my faith in test tubes and things that can be proven:D

its one of lifes great mysteries that when faced with majesty of creation and the universe some people debase it by saying -------yes my god did that

I don't know how they think God did it when there is a perfectly plausible theory. What next, will they claim that God('s)came up with the theory of the atom lol?

Lovely Photos of Nebula in the Universe:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=P-QcTOjLaKc&feature=related

This is the definition of Nebula:

A nebula (from Latin: "mist" ; pl. nebulae or nebulو, with ligature or nebulas) is an interstellar cloud of dust, hydrogen gas and plasma. It is the first stage of a star's cycle.

Originally nebula was a general name for any extended astronomical object, including galaxies beyond the Milky Way (some examples of the older usage survive; for example, the Andromeda Galaxy was referred to as the Andromeda Nebula before galaxies were discovered by Edwin Hubble).

Nebulae often form star-forming regions, such as in the Eagle Nebula. This nebula is depicted in one of NASA's most famous images, the "Pillars of Creation". In these regions the formations of gas, dust and other materials 'clump' together to form larger masses, which attract further matter, and eventually will become big enough to form stars. The remaining materials are then believed to form planets, and other solar system objects.

A thing that amazes me about the universe is that when I look inside the infinity I see is the same as that I see when I look out.
I conceive our minds as being prism-like, the inside and the outside being from our perspective the same. The universe on the outside and consciousness on the inside.

Found this yesterday, which gives some clues to the topic:

Podcast: How Big is the Universe?

We’re ready to complete our trilogy of discovery about the universe. We’ve learned that it has no center; rather everywhere is its center and nowhere. We discovered that the universe seems to be flat. It's not open, it's not closed, it's flat. If that doesn’t make any sense, you need to listen to the previous show because there’s no way I could give that an explanation.

So now we want to know: “How big is it?” Does it go on forever or is it finite in scale? How much of it can we see?
