How can any true Christian accept an Appointing of a gay bishop ?

Anglican bishops don't have to be celibate. Most of them are married.

I am out of loop with this discussion, aren't I?

Still, it shouldn't matter; Not all Christians believe that it is a sin to be gay. Don't forget about what Jesus said about judging and condemning others- if you do it, it will be done to you. ;)

So should law courts be closed down?

No. It is not that kind of judging. I am talking about pointing your fingers at someone and tell them they are "going to hell" or "going to be condemned" or that "God hates you". I am not better than anyone else, and I have done some things in my past that I am not proud of. So even if sodomy turns out to be a sin (a decision I have not made yet to my sorrow), I have committed sins, too. I am not qualified to condemn anyone. None of us are.

So simply saying that, say, theft is a sin, would not be that sort of judging?

That is different on a few levels. For one, people stealing from others is harming the others. Sodomy no one is being hurt. Also, if someone is starving to death and they steal food or they steal food to fee their children, I don't consider that a sin. Or even if it is, I wouldn't consider judging them because it is human nature to try to protect themselves and their children.
You really have to look at each situation.
And another thought, even if you send someone to prison for grand theft, that doesn't mean you are judging them to hell, Hades, or whatever.

So is it ok to say that stealing is wrong, or sinful?

Saying something is wrong or may be wrong isn't always judging or condemning. Judging is saying a person is bad when he/she does something wrong. Being a hypocrite is telling someone else that what they are doing is wrong, when you are doing something just as bad yourself. Like a murderer condemning a rapist, or something of that nature.

We need to put people away if they are going to harm others.

Anything can happen, but I doubt I will change my opinions without some really good arguments.
I just meant that my opinion may or may not be what is truly correct.
So might it be that it is always wrong to say that stealing is wrong?

You're really good at reading into things that aren't even said. I didn't say it was wrong to say that stealing is wrong- I said that judging is wrong. If I go up to someone and say that stealing is wrong, I am not necessarily judging them. For the most part, that person would not even need me to judge him or her- people already know what is right and wrong. Judging them would be my saying "You will go to hell because you stole something". Just saying that stealing is wrong would not be my telling this person that he or she would go to prison, or to hell (I don't believe in a literal hell, anyway), or whatever. Even police officers arresting a person breaking the law would not be necessarily judging them; the officer would be doing his job.

No, Christians are not under the Mosaic Law.
Then why bring it up? You don't get to pick and choose--you either follow the law or not.

No, the Bible is clear that homosexual practices are disgraceful and are not acceptable to God.
Let me get this. You think it's wrong because it's outside of marriage, but you're opposed to allowing such marriage.
