How Can We Identify True Worship?

Tell me , do you actually see your government carrying out Gods will, in ANYTHING ?

How can it? All God's "people" claim they are to just sit back and let the world do what it wants, because they claim they are. "no part of this world". How do YOU expect the government to do God's will when His "people" stay out of it?

You have been voting men and women, in and out of office for a couple hundred years now, hows that working out for you ? Are we better off now ?

I'm not quite that old yet!

He has used the vast majority of his knowledge and power to make weapons of mass destruction, to the point that now he can kill people much much more effeciently.

Yes, and how many of these companies that produce weapons of mass destruction do the governing body and watchtower support by purchasing stock in said companies? You can deny that they do have stock, but I will sure post the tax returns, that are public information, and prove to you they do.

@Deeje I don't have suspicions about jws. I have questions. When repeating the formula doesn't answer the questions, you do a runner. Just as my two visitors did.

I am happy to answer questions but you don't seem to like the answers. It isn't a case of "doing a runner". it's more a case of not wanting to "flog a dead horse".

Now, please, no more aspersions on my housekeeping, :D

Since I spend way too much time on these sites, I am thinking that my own housekeeping is not too crash hot ATM.

and don't fret about my reference to @djhwoodwerks's post. no conspiracy there, I just saw no point in copying her/his references.

I wouldn't have minded so much but what he posted (as always) was just twisting the scriptures. Those verses were directed to Christ's disciples in the context of enduring Jewish opposition.
Their enemies were fellow believers who refused to listen to their Messiah. Their enemies were those who claimed to worship the same God...some of whom were their own family members. (Matthew 10:34-39)

That poster has an obsession about us for some reason, and assumes that he knows all about us....he knows nothing other than what he has gleaned from apostate websites.
He needs to just
snapoutofit.gif
and realize that he doesn't know anything about us that is true, and that he is merely fulfilling scripture. (Matthew 5:11-12)

Yeah, I know nothing about JW's and "everything" I post is gleaned from "apostate" websites. I have your 2014 library CD, with "all" the watchtower literature from 1950 thru 2014. Everything I post is from your own literature and the Bible. You're showing your ignorance!

How did you get this from the scriptures? By this verse, Luke 6:20 (ESVST) 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said:?

What about this verse, Luke 7:1 (ESVST) 1 After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum. If He was just talking to the disciples, why weren't they singled out like in verse 20?

Two things about this statement,

1st - Mat 5:11 (ESVST) 11 " Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

JW's don't preach Jesus. When they walk up to a door they talk about evil, paradise earth, and Jehovah. A JW doesn't know who is behind the door when they knock, they don't know what the person believes, so why would they start off by talking about paradise earth? What did Paul say?

1Co 15:1-4 (ESVST) 1 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you— unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received:that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

People need to know Jesus first and foremost!

2nd - Mat 5:12 (ESVST) 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

This isn't a verse for the rank and file JW. Their reward is "on earth", not "in heaven".

Even I can see that most of what you post is quoting the Bible and the Watchtower. She says what you post is from "apostate websites".
It is so stupid, it's funny.

That's the way they are trained. If anyone says anything that opposes what they say, it's apostate, even if it comes from their own literature.

If the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses changes any opinion, the newest opinion can be seen by outsiders as opposed to the older opinion.
When they do change anything it confirms (to their own people) that they really do hear from Jehovah . But if we disagree with any JW doctrine it is considered by some as coming from the devil.

That, I call one giant twist.

The Bible said that men were going to "twist the scriptures to their own destruction", so how much more were they going to twist the words of imperfect men?

It isn't the words you are quoting, it is the context and the spin that apostates put on them that makes them appear to say what they don't.Half truth quoted out of the context of a whole article are often more damning than outright lies. Though we see these quite a bit too.

Not a single sheep will be stumbled by any apostate rantings. Jesus said that the real sheep will hear his voice. There is nothing you can do to stifle that voice...so what's with the crusade?

What's funny is that those who can't see will never see, no matter what anyone says. It won't be funny for very much longer. If those in the first century, who worshipped Jehovah, could execute the perfect son of God as a common blasphemer, what hope do Christ's true disciples have to be portrayed by our enemies as anything but false prophets. (John 15:18-21)

Lets just see....time will tell who was on the right path and who wasn't. We choose the path and there is no going back. I think you know what the Bible says about being on the wrong road. :(

I think that death is in store for people (we all die) so we WON'T know. If you are dead you won't know. Right?

Why won't you answer the question? How can governing body members be trusted with everlasting life before they prove faithful to their end and why does Psalms 146:3 not apply to them? Please tell us.

.

So true! Without Jesus there is no good news.

Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe on him whom he has sent.John 6:29

For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day. John 6:20

Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 10;32

It is as though the rest of it is missing. Where has, "and when the faithful and discreet slave is revealed you must confess him also" gone?

Where is it written that we should confess faith in another one?

Where is it written that to do good to someone is to put faith in him?

For me personally, God isn't a person, hence all worship or prayer is sheer nonsense. There is nobody to worship or to pray to, there is no possibility of any dialogue between us and God. Dialogue is possible only between two persons, and again God isn't a person, but a presence, or beauty, or joy.

So you're comparing the ever changing teachings of your 'slave' to scripture now?

@Deeje What jury member will think something good about a witness who refuses to answer a question?

Yes, indeed, it is written that Jesus gave no answer to charges set before him, but I am not charging you. I am asking for clarification. You might be right, but I can make no sense of some of the things that you are teaching. Those who asked Jesus questions were doing so to expose him to the crowds, but by your not answering people's questions you are exposing yourselves. Jesus knew the answers, but it looks like you do not know the answers.

Jesus is for gathering people of faith, not of reason. Jehovah's Witnesses want us to trust that they know the truth about God and Christ, so I think that you should explain why you make some scriptures obsolete and some scriptures more fitting.

Luke 23:9
Matthew 27:12
Matthew 27:14
Mark 15:5
John 19:9

Can you see that they were accusing HIM? We are not accusing you or even the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses. I am asking you to explain scriptures.

It is written that Jesus did not answer some questions. Those questions related to who he was. I am not asking Jehovah's Witnesses who they are or why they do the things they do. I am asking them to make clear the scriptures which they say I must believe in their way.

Those who wish to practice true worship will reject all that is false and become part of a global brotherhood who all accept the same teachings and can verify the validity of all of them from God's word.

Professing to know so much about "true worship" (an abysmally foolish notion, I must say), I would have to assume you feel yourself to be a part of this "global brotherhood" - as in, you, personally, have it figured out. Try some humility instead. It may not taste so good, but it is prescribed by even your own "sacred" texts - and for very good reason.
