For instance Jesus says the flesh is flesh and the spirit is spirit. Since science investigates the flesh (The world) it is not going to find the spirit. The spirit has to be experienced spiritually. Therefore He said you must be born again of the spirit.

None of that has anything to do with logical reasoning. When a person says, "logical investigation" I assume they are talking about making a reasoned argument that will not violate the rules of logic.

I believe what is happening is best explained by the earth being closer to the sun in one part of its orbit and further way on the opposite side of its orbit. I also believe the Poles have shifted.

Although it is true that each year, the earth follows an eliptical orbit, meaning that parts of the year it is a little bit closer to the sun, this is not an explanation for the rise in temperature around the world.

Yes, the poles have reversed many, many times. We know this because i.e. the rocks formed by the Mid-Atlantic Ridge have layers where the magnetic signatures reverse back and forth.
