How can you literally believe...

No you don't.

The idea that these "eyewitness accounts" are in any way verified is laughable - especially considering how heavily manipulated the texts have been over such a long time and through so many widely different historical contexts.

Imagine if these claims were to be tested in a court of law. It would never make it to court in the first place because the claims would be too outrageous to file in the first place.

What is laughable is someone saying something is not true but can't prove it, or saying something is true and can't prove it.

Man, people can sure claim alot, but fail to prove even more. This is a drastic claim in and of itself. How will you go about validating it? And why are you even here? I assume as an apparent deity, you have no have no real reason to, nor nothing to gain by interacting and or speaking to us in this manner.

Only those who were chosen during this temporary age will get to know Me and My voice. I have witnessed thousands of them listening to My voice and believing some or all of the knowledge that is received in their mind. Most of My people are blocked from hearing My voice but they will ALL know Me when they wake up on the New Earth. I AM the only source who can give them make-believe worlds to explore and teach them the new language to identify all the visible images they see.

Coming back from the dead isn't as hard as it sounds.

Then kill yourself and come back.

Nearly all resurrection stories tend to have the plot convenience of having an intact body that wasn't suffocated by a lot of dirt poured on it. I think we're just looking at people waking from comas or some other "fake" death thing and people freaked and thought it was a supernatural occurrence. Let us note that Jesus never brings back the beheaded John the Baptist. I think that is a major clue.

Sue He did. John is in heaven with his head firmly attached.

Water is a funny thing, where you can't see what's underneath the surface from certain angles in certain lighting conditions.

Faith healings all seem to require either blatant staging or some poor sap who is suffering from some psychosomatic thing.

"Seems" is he key word in that comment.

Jesus is also hardly the only one on the planet who has tales of doing cool stuff. I mean, Jesus says with faith you can move a mountain, but I read that Krishna as a kid actually pulled it off, so ... :)

And no one innocent has ever gone to prison or executed due to a full 12 member jury. And no one guilty has ever been set free thanks to a full 12 member jury.

Jesus died thanks to "false" witnesses, so I guess that blows the "we had eyewitnesses" logic, huh?

And yet they don't.

Your knowledge is so wonderful but it would be more wonderful if you proivded the evidence for you opinions.

I listen to what science says. Doesn't conflict with my spiritual beliefs. The Bible's not a science textbook.

What does science tell you about the origin of the universe? That it needs an external and eternal cause not limited by time or space? Or, that it came into existence by itself from literally nothing?

Exactly! Thank you! :D

You want people to believe your claims, don't you?
Well, you believe yours and GodsVOice believes his. I don't find either of you especially credible, myself. But the main difference between GodsVoice and your sources is the passage of time.

Probably stuff about quantum fluctuations. I'm not a physicist. I do believe in God, you know, so I'm not sure why you're asking me about this.

It's different when someone literally claims to be God lol. I'm proving that He exists. Which side is more logical? Claiming you ARE Him? Or that He exists? That's a shame that you don't find my position credible, but I can't change your mind I guess. Pascal's Wager should do that.

Christianity is based on people claiming that Jesus claimed to be God.
At least GodsVoice is making the claim himself.
Tom

And at least I have provided evidence to prove that Jesus both claimed to be God, and demonstrated it. Unlike our friend here. Man, no one is brining any hard evidence against my case, it's really sad to be honest. If Jesus was not in fact who He said He was, than people would not have done what they did for Him through horrible martyrdoms, and the Church wouldn't be here today. He would just have been another dead cause like everyone else. Can you give me historical COUNTER evidence that would go against the case for Jesus's miracles and Resurrection? I assume not.

even though no one brought any hard evidence against it, only they're opinion
That's because you have to prove it happened. You can't disprove something that hasn't been proven. You make the claim, you provide the evidence. Otherwise, you are claiming someone was killed and resurrected, which is a claim that contradicts well established common-and-scientific knowledge. You die, you don't come back. You are saying otherwise, thus you must prove this.

I think it should be accepted, that the fully human and fully divine man of Jesus Christ wouldn't have much trouble brining himself back to life. To be completely honest. What kind of proof would you accept? You set the bar so high that it can't even be met, with ANY kind of evidence. Furthermore, I have made the argument that if He did NOT come back from the dead, then His following would have diminished, like all others before Him who claimed to be the Messiah. So please, if there is any, bring HISTORICAL COUNTER evidence. Thank you.
