Judaism teaches that there are righteous among all the nations. It teaches that all people are loved by G-d. It teaches we are accountable for upholding the seven Noahide Laws.

Shalom

@Terese posted an interesting thread entitled "Your thoughts on other religions" recently, but since it's in the Christianity DIR it only allows Christians to share their thoughts. I found the variety of replies very interesting and wanted to find out what people of other faiths thought about this. Since posting the same thread in every DIR would be a bit redundant, I would like to open up the discussion to the whole community here and ask people of every faith, how do you feel about other faiths? It would be helpful to briefly describe your own beliefs first to get an idea of how different groups view others. What do the teachings of your religion have to say about other beliefs? What do you personally think? Do you treat all other faiths equally or do you view some as better than others?

I have no problem with other faiths as long as they leave me alone. If someone worships a rock, camel dung whatever, go for it. Whatever floats your boat. But when a person’s faith infringes on my life the way I see fit to live, I have a problem with that. If I want to know about your God, I’ll ask. Until then, leave me alone.

Depends, it's a broad question.

I think some ancient faiths might have ideals and elements to prepare the world for the coming of Christ.
I would not say all religions are the same as they differ in how they look at heaven, hell, God and man, and many more etc...
Man is naturally an 'idol factory' and will make something out of His own imagination to fill the void even it its education, power, money or sports

Well I am a Christian Witch that is very Wicca friendly so yes haha, I really love religious diversity because it allows me to see the Divine Force I believe is out there from so many different and wonderful points of view. I always believe that Religious diversity should strengthen and not weaken a person's faith as we search for the spiritual truth I believe is it out there for us to discover. As a person of Christian Faith I was directed by my Divine guide to focus on unconditional love for the ones I meet and not to worry if people believe in Him or not. From my Wicca background I support people of different faiths who wish to worship peacefully and harm none while in their faith, I also look forward to hearing How their Divine has changed their lives for the better and the connection we need as Humans to be as one as we individually search for our absolute truths in life as well.

Shadowfire, I'm finding this problematic. In Christianity there is 'Thy will be done' in witchcraft there is 'My will be done' and my ultimate help rests in God

How do you practice Paul's example that "I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me"

My will be done is a very important part of my religious directive, It is my will to choose Christ in my life, of my own free will if that makes sense. There is nothing I can say to convince you that there is no conflict in the very strange and unorthodox way I live my life, but if it brings you any comfort, the witchcraft I perform very strangely brings me closer to the God I serve and the immense respect and admiration I have for His complexity in all the realms of existence that are out there. Apart from the fact that I talk to Christ on an hourly basis during my entire waking life haha, I think it would be safe to say that Christ is very much alive in me.

I already died twice in my life time so I know very well what is on the other side which brings me no fear of what is waiting for me on the other side and by the way it was revealed to me that I am going to fail miserably in my life as a religious human being as I attempt to get my message out to the people that it is ok for a witch or anyone else for that matter to say it is ok to love God and actually mean it lol!

I never understood people who claim to be full fledged Christians? I thought they would be happy a Witch loves God, and would want to talk about how Awesome He is and how He Changed their life, but instead of being happy a Witch loves God, they always resort to the same scenario: to find conflict, fault or some way to disqualify a witch from being with God? It's almost as if Christians find every excuse in the bible to drive people away from God with their legalistic approach. I find this very strange because this is a tactic that I believe that pharisees and the devil would use to keep a person/witch away from God, by stating things like "Your not good enough to be with God" "you're not following God's will" "You are a habitual sinner and unworthy to be with God" "Your not following God's commandments so God will reject you!" "You are an abomination to God with your Witchcraft and He will never love you for it"

I heard it all before but I am very comfortable with my views of God and Christ, my only request is that you honor my right to have a personal relationship as I see fit and if I have any concerns I will consult with you about them, otherwise, each person must find their own path in life that is what spiritual cooperation and not competition is all about as we individually search for the absolute truths in our life.

Before I leave you I am going to turn back to the subject of the original question that was asked in this post "How do you feel about other faiths?" I feel wonderful because it gives me a chance to see my God from so many different angles that I otherwise would have missed out on if I stayed only within the Christian Community. It also gives me a chance to witness to other faiths about Christ from a completely different perspective than the typical Christian response and most of the non Christian friends I have are impressed that I do not attempt to convert them to Christianity, but I do let them know that there is no shame for a Witch, or anyone else for that matter to love God with all their heart!

In conclusion, I want to state that: I have unconditional love for people, respect for other religions, a strong desire to accept anyone regardless of their religious faith or non faith for that matter and sincerely hope as our friendship grows they can see how much I love Christ and how much He loves them as well. That was my directive from Christ and that is my mission until it is time for me to cross over to the other side!

Thanks whirlingmerc for allowing me to address your concerns!
