How do you know you are not "A.I."?

And this astral and mental "matter" (matter might be the wrong word since it usually refers to actual physical matter) can only interpenetrate biological bodies?
That is a correct observation. There is a distinction between our known and familiar 'physical matter' and this 'subtle matter' that is of a higher dimensional and vibrational level as to be undetectable by physical matter. 96% of the matter in the universe is not detectable by physical senses and instruments.

If I understand the last part of your question correctly the answer would be this matter exists on its own plane and can interpenetrate any denser plane without the denser plane detecting it. Entire astral landscapes can be created on the astral plane of astral matter. Telekinesis which exists but is almost undetectable on the physical plane is quite a force on subtle matter.

Interesting.

Considering telekinesis for instance, which suggests that the mind can reach outside the body and affect physical things (if I understand it right), so the mind isn't necessarily bound to a single biological brain, but it could potentially reside in other things, physical things that are not biological. Yes, no?

I am going with 'no' on that question. Telekinesis involves a mind directing energy for an intended effect.

Well that would indeed be mysterious and someone may propose such a theory, and I'll listen. My position (based on evidence from 'beyond the normal' human experiences dovetailing with the teachings of eastern/Indian spiritual masters) is that in living things the 'transcending' elements are part and parcel of the entity from the beginning. Consciousness is fundamental and preceeds the existence of the form and that matter can never produce consciousness by gaining greater and greater complexity.

The term 'living things' may make for a circular argument here, depending on your definition of 'living'.
If by living you mean aware of experiencing, then the hypothesised electronic system inhabited, so to speak, by the nonmaterial awareness WOULD be a living thing.

My question is - if not itself 'the body', yet able to realise itself in the structure of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen etc making up organic cells, why not realise itself in other (any ?) forms, such as silicone, metal ?

Telekinesis would be a more direct interface -or indirect, depending on how you look at it. Our minds do affect physical things through various interfaces -and thoughts can be expressed to another mind with minimal physical action.

We know that information can be transmitted over the air -and telepathy would really just require that some sort of transmitter/receiver/antenna setup.
Telekenesis would also be little different than a remote control -but the remote would be built into the mind. How it might manipulate arrangements of atoms, etc., directly I do not know.

Telepathy and telekinesis are already practiced (pushers, etc) -but they are not things inherent to humans -and are associated with sorcery, etc., whether people realize it or not -as such things are inherent to the "bodies" of spirits. I can't prove that to you -but know it goes on -and I would also advise against seeking out such things due to the nature of those involved.
Basically -there are men who stare at goats -something happens to the goats, and they think they are doing it (but "it" is doing them). In the bible, Satan is called "the prince of the power of the air" who now works "in the sons of disobedience".

It seems to me that our "selves" are essentially emergent patterns -so I do think it possible that a brain might be composed of something other than what we call flesh.

I don't even get how artificial intelligence exists. Who made this? Humans? Are humans not natural? If humans are natural, then that which they program/produce with intelligence would also be natural, no?

No.

Anything made by man that doesn't occur naturally, or to be a copy of something natural. Of course, we've been arguing for decades about how something could be qualified to be called AI. I think it is a consciousness that is fully self-aware (aware of mortality), and has desires.

Typically, one's IQ is not the numerical limit of one's counting capacity.
21/3=6.999....

It is down in that lo-ball territory. And besides, it's that you're counting ability is limited by your IQ, not contrariwise. In any case, it's happy hour so when I return perhaps we'll be on something like common ground. (But I doubt it. Everybody know 21/3= 70. Too bad, you were almost a 70 after all.)
