That third option doesn't make sense. If you have to be married to have sex, then what's the point of having an open marriage? You and the third person have to wait until polygamy is legalized before you can have sex?

I voted "Sex is evil and should be avoided at all costs" just for the fun of it, but now that I see someone else voted for it, I also hope they dont think sex is evil

I chose to err on the side of permissiveness, and voted "anything goes." But in truth, while I think it is not wrong to have casual sex and one-night stands of whatever kinds, I think the ideal that people should aim for is sex within the confines of a committed, long-term, monogamous relationship. Hetero or same-sex, makes no difference to me.

I have two different answers:

- I've never had sex with someone I wasn't in love with, so I guess that's my answer for myself. I personally don't have a problem with sex before marriage. For me, it's the emotional commitment that matters, not the vows.

- As for what restrictions I'd impose on society at large, though... pretty much anything goes as long as everyone involved is of age and freely consents.

I think it's really up to the couple these days. It's too much pressure to pressure couples to be celibate before marriage if they do not choose that. :p

Strapped to the tree of woe. And whipped into submission . I'm bad sometimes . Oh yeah by a friend in a relationship .

The title is so misleading ...

Oh and not to be creepy but would all the single ladies between 20-30 years of age who voted for 'anything goes' option please raise your hand? This is for ... research.

Yer missing out my dear... if you leave out women over 30. ;)

I said "Anything goes". In large part because I wasn't particularly clear whether the OP was asking about how I enjoy sex, or how I feel other people should be able to enjoy sex.

I tend to be in the friendly/relationship zone, and am not particularly enamored of one night stands for myself. For other people, I don't have an issue with them having one night stands, I just prefer a little more bonding. It may also come from my personal kinks, which lend themselves to needing some modicum of trust between partners though.

ETA:

As Mystic pointed out, consent between ADULT partners is needed for anyone's sexual activities.

Reason, and reason again
I'd probably select the option 'Everything goes,' except for the fact I have turned down women who I thought were way too promiscuous and unsafe in the past or who had crazy ex-boyfriends/a kid.

Yes, 20 to 30 ... my research is of a specific nature.

But just out of curiosity, just how 'over' 30 are we talking about here? hehe

I just realized I have never answered the question of the OP. How do I like it? Sometimes rough, sometimes angry, sometimes emotional, sometimes passionate, and sometimes just because it's fun to do.

Only 20 -30 and only single? And all this time I've been lead to believe men are supposed to be the more sexual of the sexes.:p

Oh see, you're dealing with the fundamental error when it comes to 'anything goes'.

Anything goes does not mean "with you"

/mostly good-natured snark
//not wanting to turn this into a thread about how young women are assumed to be sexually available to all men particularly if they indicate any sexual interest
///mostly because i think you're not serious.
