How do you relax?

Relaxing (in moderation) is important for health, research has shown it helps boost your immune system, reduces stress, helps keep your heart healthier, reduces muscle tension, it can improve your brain function and memory, and helps to avoid depression and anxiety.

For me it depends, i find cooking to be relaxing, walking in the forest relaxes my mind. There are a couple of places out there that I sit and wilt to the sound of river tinkling or leaves rustling in the breeze. I find sitting in on the veranda with a good strong coffee and listening to the forest change from night sounds to day sounds to take my morning grogginess away and set me up for the day.

How about you, what do you do to take a little time out and relax?
I do much the same, with tea. Sunrise and or
sunset, the boats, lights across on Lamma
and middle island.

Being retired, I feel relaxed (calm) most of the time. I think a better question for people like me would be, "How do you get your get up and go going so you can get up and go?" or "What makes you unrelaxed?"

I had a whole pot of ema datshi yesterday.

If I came and sat next to you, I imagine it might spur the desire to get up and go.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Ohhhh, I love relaxing! I like to sleep in, even though I am not really asleep. I relax every evening with a glass of wine and a movie or streaming show or book. In fact, I need to read a book for book club. I find that relaxing as well. I also find driving back roads to be very relaxing. I like sight seeing.

I had to google it. Sounds delicious. I made tomato curry, my simple way, stir fry onions, some potato chunks, bell pepper, add turmeric, curry leaves, cumin, coriander, dry chili, black pepper, salt. Then add a can of canned tomatoes, stir, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes. Pour over rice, and gobble gobble gobble. Your dish sounds way too complicated for simple ol me.

I love winding and hilly back roads with beautiful scenery. This is one of the positives about living in Kentucky.

Listening to music and watching relaxing documentaries from the center of the world.

Nah, ema datshi is pretty simple! Just stew your tomatoes, chilis, garlic(I used that instead of onion), let it get soft, dump water over, melt the cheese into eat. Add chopped cilantro and serve over rice(red is preferable, but when I went to get the red rice out, I found bugs in it so used basmati instead).

I shall try this ... if I remember. Do you have a recipe for senior memory loss?

I live in Southwest Ohio and I think it's gorgeous here! The high today was around 80. Not shabby. Oh, and sunny skies.

I love setting outside and listening to nature.

I thought you lived in a neighbourhood where the houses are like right next to each other. Is there much forest around your all?

"Be strong", I whispered to my coffee.

I live in a small vilage in a river valley. The valley is forested.

There are quite a few, it's a very photographed village

The one you showed was taken from a Montgolfier and doesn't show the valley sides.
I just remember you posting that one last year because I thought there is no way I could live that close to so many other houses lol
