How does the story of Adam and Eve compatible with science?

How it is not? The history of science is full of errors, why believe it would be correct about possibility of Adam and Eve?
Science has a history of errors, but you are not looking at the pattern of those errors. The errors keep getting smaller and smaller as time goes on. The myth was shown to be that a long time ago and every new discovery only confirms that. It is so bad that to believe the Adam and Eve myth is now calling God a liar. You would have to explain where the endless evidence comes from that tells us that it never happened. If the story is true than God also had to lie by planting endless false evidence to cover up that fact. That would be a form of lying.

If you claim that God cannot lie then you are also claiming that the story is a myth.

So, do you mean, God could say a Myth in the Bible to teach a moral lesson?

The story of Adam and Eve survived in Mesopotamian religious lore and was appropriated by the Israelites when they were constructing their "story of origins" and an authoritative line of decent from Adam to their religious leaders. Since it was "assumed" that Adam was the first man, the Hebrew authors of Genesis figured that the earth must have been created just prior to their sudden appearance in ancient history.

In my theology from the Urantia Book Adam and Eve arrived on an evolved, previously populated, fallen earth. They were to replace the previous fallen administration who represented the Gods on earth. Adam and Eve were 2 full grown, educated adults, sons of God from another world. They were given bodies made from the existing genetic material of humans on earth. They also brought with them a genetic compliment that was to up step the existing human race on earth.

The Bible is a layer cake of human speculation and conjecture but based on real events of a spiritual, revelatory nature.

We know now that life evolved from an initial creation event long, long ago.

The big picture is, humans lack the ability to convey a historical truth especially before the invention of paper. Even a history truth may turn into a myth by the word of mouth conveyed from the grandfathers to their sons and grandsons. So the only way for a theory to be conveyed is to embed it into a story form, first it becomes possible for ancient humans to convey by word of mouth, and second God can enforce its integrity without being noticed by later humans (such that faith is always invited). The story may contain intact information through the generations under God's maintenance. Withtout God's active maintenance then, a story will at the end inevitably turn into a myth. All today's flood myths in the different cultures may thus point to a flood occurred in Noah's days.

That being said. If God embedded His messages into the story form, it is more or less like how information are encryted in today's world using computer technology. We thus need a key to have the story decryted in order to get to the actual information. So you need to be close to the Author in order to get to such a key.

I am trying to open you to possibilities.

Not to my knowledge it hasn't. What is your source for this?
He is talking about Y-chromsome Adam and mitochondrial Eve. Two individuals that never knew each other.

In fact he just refuted himself. One does not get to pick and choose just part of a scientific fact. Y chromosome Adam lived about 50,000 to 60,000 years ago. Mitochondrial Eve lived 100,000 to 200,000 years ago.
