Hi Debater Slayer, I was drafted into the army during the Vietnam war and had Infantry and Advanced Infantry training. But back on the day that I reported for induction, they asked if anyone wanted to take a typing test. I said sure, and I typed 5 WPM. Low and behold, after my infantry training was over, I was pulled out of it and reassigned to the "Transfer Point" (this is the last place a service man or woman goes to before reentering civilian life). Thereafter, all I did was type DD Form 214's, and back then they had to be perfect (8 carbon copies and you couldn't white them out). The old trustworthy IBM Selectric II. That sure was fun taking that typing test. KB
