Fossils are also evidence that something LIVED. Fossils also provide evidence as to how the organism lived. Where it lived. It's bone structure. It's diet. What happened to it. And a lot more.

Fossils actually provide a tone of information about the organism under study.

All evidence from multiple different fields of science, collated by multiple independent groups of scientists across the world, collected over the last 160+ all point to evolution being a fact of life. No evidence discovered thus far has managed to falsify it. Evolution is the backbone of biology.
