How many frubals are more than enough for you on RF ?

LOL, I have enough temptations as it is. ;) I should have gave ol scratch them frubals. :angel2:

We should have done more while he had the chance! I was so close to that blue ribby. Well, I had four, but the ribbons had be changed to reflect a great number of frubals cause we got past the blue ones and there was no more, so the blue ribbons just kept piling up.

In some ways I like the new system... 1 frubal.. 1 point. To thoroughly enjoy it, I'd have to see all the frubals renewed, or changed to one for all frubals received up to this point.

Sometimes I still feel a little guilty, but my frubal orgy frubals are way outnumbered by normal frubies now a days. Then again, once we reached the top, every time I would frubal something is was just short of a mil frubals at a time, lol. :D

I suppose some 5000 or so. Of course, I'm speaking of post-Great Scarcity Frubals, not the cheap stuff that used to come in offerings without wisdom or compassion in quantities too big to be spoke of in polite company.
So.. the real one are just 5000 approx ? :)

There is no such number -- because I do not view frubals as being something of a limited quantity. No one loses a frubal because I give or receive one.

I see frubals as the acknowledgement of something valuable -- whether it is a witty post, an extension of kindness, a good point, or a good point well made.

Just because there are some members that have large numbers of frubals (and I think that giving one frubal isn't even a noticeable change in their frubal count) I still like to acknowledge it when something strikes me as frubal-worthy. Sometimes a frubal is just a statement of "I agree" when I don't have anything else to add, or the person made the point so well that it seems a frubal is the best response for me to give.

I see the frubal as a momentary one-on-one human connection on some point (whether profound or witty.)

I like to give and to receive them, but I don't put a tremendous amount of thought into giving them meaning beyond the momentarily connection and exchange of acknowledgement or good vibes. For me, it is a communication experience -- so I would not like to impose any sort of artificial limitation upon one's ability to have that experience -- by establishing a position that anyone has had enough of that.
And what do you say about these > :)

It's not about the furballs, Chinu, it's all about the many wonderful comments that accompany them.
For example, on my "frubal" page, I have literally THOUSANDS of comments from people... most of which are quite satisfying...
Just got THOUSANDS of comments, from so many frubals ? :)

Now and then I post something worthwhile and it gets noticed.
The little frubal is acknowledgement.

One for a worthwhile post is enough.
It assures me I have touched at least one other person.
Now and then,
How many persons do you want to touch ?
to assure, that you are satisfied now. :)

It's rather similar to the "like" button on Facebook, except you can receive a private comment with that "like" that is shared only with you and that other person.

The number isn't that important except as a conversation piece. It's the impact you realized you made on somebody in a different part of the planet.
How much of impact can make one satisfy, covering the whole planet is enough or one still needs more ? :)

What if each individual post had "frubals" but not each individual poster?
Once a donkey started feeling very aureole when all the people in a village were bowing their heads towards that donkey who was passing through that village with the statue of God on his back, and after dropping the statue in the temple when that same donkey was passing from that same village, nobody bowed the head, Because now he was just a donkey. :D

Wisdom is like a statue of god on the back of a donkey.

Sum of Awe, What if.. that donkey has permanenty fixed the photocopy of God's statue in order to make the impact on villagers forever ? :D

At this point frubals are nothing more than a straight count - and a kind of notification - of comments you receive.
