How many frubals are more than enough for you on RF ?

Now and then,
How many persons do you want to touch ?
to assure, that you are satisfied now. :)

Satisfaction?.....as if trophy hunting?

I've always had an aversion to trophies.
What most people raise above their heads in triumph.....I have no desire.

When I was younger my accomplishments set me apart from others.
As I got older and even more given to learning, the parting of ways deepened.
Anything I desire to do...I can.

It seems....no one likes a 'know it all'

I've even had a bossman write me up for the apparency.
He wanted me to acknowledge his complaint with my signature.
I told him....."No. You didn't spell 'knoe it all'....correctly!"

Trophies?....I care not.
Crowns on my head?......oh no.

It is enough to say as it is.
It is enough that someone realized the content of my word.

But.. how many are enough for you on RF ? please. :)

It's a moot question, as it supposes the veracity of the system, which changed policy but has the same sum (frubal), therefore the "answers" you'll get will be completely subjective regardless of the posters objective evaluations.

I take it you mean coherence? The system is quite reliable, but the frubal sums are indeed all but meaningless.

Obviously, frubal count is the most accurate and dependable way we have of determining a member's intelligence, wit, wisdom, and value to the RF community.

And what do you say about these > :)

I felt that I had received a compliment, and I appreciated it and those that voted to give it to me -- although I do not know exactly who voted for me.

I see it as a sign of recongnition similar to a frubal. It does not change who I consider myself to be. I does not make me someone I am not, or into someone else for having received it. But, it is still nice to receive.

Chinu, if someone prepares a wonderful, nutritious and delicious meal for you, and you thoroughly enjoy it -- isn't the expression of gratitude and appreciation to the person who did this good thing for you a good thing to do? An acknowledgement of appreciation for something is simply an acknowledgement of appreciation.

If someone then takes a symbol of appreciation and uses it as evidence of being "better" than someone else -- then that is a misuse of the acknowledgement -- but that misuse rests is the hands of the person and is a result of what they do with it -- not in the fact that appreciation was offered.

edit: Except, of course, Kilgore and anyone with more than a million frubals. :D (Just kidding.)

LOL I'll take that as an insult. (the obvious un generosity of the population of RF is not lost on me)

One measure of meaning is having friends.
I'm surprised but pleased at the diverse number of members with such poor judgement to offer me the invitation.
So what if they're not the sharpest tools in the shed (& have a poor sense of smell)....they make it feel like home.

Since I have asked for frubals twice I have got one. And it's the truth. Sometimes truth sounds like a *point*.

I mean I got one for asking.

The other frubals are well appreciated but from my pov they belong to uh, someone else.

Well.. how many ? :)

It's relative to the moment, even if frubals weren't being counted. It just feels good to be acknowledged for some particular inquiry, statement, etc. It might also work well as a reminder that one has journeyed and shared much with others over time. Quantity is beside the point, or else it merely serves as the evolving structure in which quality is experienced directly.
