42. I don't really wish to be younger or older. I feel quite healthy and satisfied with my life. I don't know what is typically said about my generation. My friends are a bit older than me.

39. I'm autistic and a giant nerd so my feelings about aging, generational cultures, etc are pretty far removed from the norm. I socialize and play games with everyone from 20s to 60s. Though there's generally more of the former than the latter. I have a group of people mostly my own age I socialize with the most, including two high-school friends I'm very privileged to still have.

52, pushing 53 (next month) and im quite happy having lived through my younger years with (hopefully) my older years still to enjoy.

The people i spend time with is mostly family, hubby, a couple of months younger and the children. Outside the house, mmm, a wide range from early 20s to 102, yes you heard that right, he's the only one of the centenarians left, there were 6 when we moved here.

Personality wise, i have no idea, what are people my age supposed to he like?

If you're comfortable sharing: how old are you? How do you feel about your age? Do you wish you were younger? Older? Do you mostly spend time with people your age? Does your personality match what is typically said about your generation?
I am 61. I wish I were a little younger, since hubby is 54. My new neighborhood is mostly older people, so mostly I am on the younger side. My attitude is more youthful, IMO. I don't really feel like a Baby Boomer.

Tell me what is typically said about my generation, then I can answer...

Really?

how to multiquote!
Tiz simple, highlight the first block of text you want to quote, little [+quote/reply] banner pops up at the cursor. Select +quote.

Repeat for all the quotes you want

At the bottom of the edit box a ["insert quotes] button appears, press it and select which quotes you want to insert.

I'm 49 and will turn 50 in late June.

I feel older than I am because of my declining health. I'm not pleased that I'll be 50 on my next birthday.

There are times when I wish I was younger because I had more energy and didn't tire as easily when I was younger.

I mostly spend time with people that are older than I am, but I have a couple of friends who are younger than me.

I'm a Gen Xer, and my personality does not reflect what is commonly said about my generation. I don't believe that society or individuals are disposable, as stated in the Generation Guide article linked in the previous post. I was 19 when I married, and I've been married to the same man for thirty years and raised seven children with him (ranging in age from 29 to 15). I've been a stay-at-home mom for 29 years and a homeschooling mom for 17 years.

For people asking for descriptions of each generation, here's a typical breakdown:

In that case I'm not particularly like the gen x stereotype. Although i do like heavy metal (any rock so long as its good) and a bit of an entrepreneur, and remember pre computer schooling. Oh and i like loubies so that's me labelled;-)

I'll be 57 next month.

How do you feel about your age?
I really don't think much about my age. Often when asked, I have to think about it, even to the point where I have to subtract the year we're in from the year I was born.

Do you wish you were younger? Older?
I'm content with my current age.

Do you mostly spend time with people your age?
I mostly spend my time alone. When I am with people, I don't pay much attention to age.

Does your personality match what is typically said about your generation?
I don't know. What is typically said about my generation?

As above, and I'd rather be about fifty years younger or even younger. I doubt I am representative of my age group, given I still have so many views formed during my youth. And it hardly bothers me as to what generation I interact with. :imp:

I'm 38. I'm fine with it. I don't want to be younger, I accept I will grow older.. I didn't like being young. I think life improved in my 30s.

I don't believe I represent my age group well, but I'm not sure I represent a human being very well. This is the only social media I use, and I can't operate a smartphone. I can make bread and noodles from scratch. I don't have a TV. I read physical books only(as opposed to ebooks).

No.
Do you mostly spend time with people your age?
Some of my time. A lot of time is spent with family and friends who vary in age.
Does your personality match what is typically said about your generation?
I doubt it. I have always been the misfit.

I'm 35. I've always felt like a bit of an "old soul," possibly owing to the fact that my parents were older when they had me, my siblings are all much older than me, and I spent much of my childhood around adults. I sometimes wish I were younger so I could have a mulligan of some of the mistakes I've made in life. But all in all I'm happy being my current age.

You do seem like an old soul. I have a tendency to think you older than you are; I can imagine having older parents and siblings influenced that.

57 just yesterday.
How do you feel about your age?
Not much I can do about it. I suppose I'm ok with it. Still young enough to accomplish more.
Do you wish you were younger?
Sure. But wiser also.
I'll get their whether I wish it or not, so not right now.
Do you mostly spend time with people your age?
Actually, I spend time with people of all ages. It depends on the people.
Does your personality match what is typically said about your generation?
In some ways, sure. I was raised by parents that were two and three generations prior to mine, and I am early adopter of my generation. I feel I have a mix of characters from all of that.

When I was born there were only 196 million people in this country and only 3.4 billion people on Earth. Much has changed and rather quickly since that time and I have seen a lot of it.
