FINE--BUT DID ANY OF THOSE DIETIES DIE TO SAVE MANKIND FROM ITSELF? NO, THEY DID NOT. HERE IS WHERE CHRISTIANITY IS UNIQUE. IN FACT, IN GREEK TRADEGY, WHEN ONE OF THE IMMORTALS' PART-HUMAN OFFSPRING SUFFERED IN SOME WAY, THE CAPRICIOUS GODS TOOK IT OUT ON MANKIND, CONTRA TO CHRISTIANITY, WHERE THE DEATH WAS TO THE ETERNAL SALVATION OF MANKIND. IN FACT, THE GREEK GODS ARE SO SELFISH, CAPRICIOUS, MANIPULATIVE AND PETTY THAT THEY CLEARLY SEEM TO POSSESS THE HUMAN ATTRIBUTES OF THOSE WHO CREATED THEM. GOD, AS REVEALED IN THE BIBLE, IS VERY PATIENT AND SLOW TO ANGER.

I like this thread and read through it and found this post particularly interesting. this thread pretty much says that the bible and other books of belief are exactly that...based on belief from the followers of that religion. Can you really rely on the bible in your case when it was written so long ago. can you really trust the diciples? can you trust the words of john luke matthew and mark (if thats correct sorry a bit rusty)...did jesus actually live...if he did then yes christianity is unique but if he didnt live then then what? its all based on what you believe happened. if you believe that it happened then good but i dont think ill put my trust in a book written thousands of years ago...
