How responsible is God for Satan's actions?

Let's say the Bible is true.

If a father lets a Serpent into the room with his children, knowing in advance what the serpent will do to them, isn't the father just as responsible as the serpent, especially if you consider the fact that the father made the serpent knowing what the serpent would do?

I always believed that God let the Serpent into the Garden to test Man's faith in him or it's a parable to teach humanity has always sinned since the beginning and thus humanity needs for repentance and salvation.

Interesting. Thank you for taking the time to share your beliefs. :)

One thing I do admire about LDS is their passion for genealogy. My dad's side of the family is LDS, and because of them, we were able to track our family tree back to the 1500s. Pretty cool stuff!
My father is also big into genealogy. I hope I catch that bug some time soon because I haven't been into it as much as I should.
