How should the Christian Church treat homosexuals?

The animals were symbols of what Peter (and early jewish-christians) deemed was unclean....kind of how you seem to consider homosexuals, ironically enough.

The Bible clearly tells us homosexuality is wrong....but it doesn't say it's any worse than cheating on your spouse or being an alcoholic....and it's certainly not our place to castigate anyone. If someone is gay, I cannot tell him/her that the Bible says it's ok.....IF THEY ASK ME. Nor will I treat them any less well than I would treat any human being.
I think that's the way Jesus would roll.....

If they can be forgiven and saved, and I'm sure they can be, for me to treat them poorly would be calling unclean, that which God has made clean....just like Peter was told not to do.

you are quite right homosexuality is a sin just as any other sin the bible talks about and requires no dispensation, just repentance and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour...:)

i guess i have to spell everything out for you since you haven't figured out what makes something wrong and something right but rather rely on being told what to believe what is a right and a wrong...

of course these things are wrong because they are an act of hostility and infringement, undermining and disregard for other people...it's really easy if you think about it...come on you can do it....use that noodle of yours...

it's wrong because 2 consenting adults are doing things only those 2 consenting adults agreed to do...the public shouldn't be involved...
it is an act of infringement...and disregard...
so again is homosexuality an act of hostility and infringement?how would homosexuality undermine you and disregard your marriage to your wife?

this is quite embarrassing really. somethings are supposed to be generally understood...but i guess not with you since you haven't figured it out for yourself.

our personal feelings are totally irrelevant to God it is a sin and if you don't repent, turn away from that sin, you are not saved...:)

You are correct, homosexuals can be forgiven and saved as anyone else. If you read back over the previous posts you will see that the subject of unclean meat was not in reference to homosexuals.

but if someone kills, steals or lies and cheats, we can call foul...
and are justified in doing so.
what justifies you calling foul on homosexuality

sin is an arbitrary idea, nothing else. labeling homosexuality as sin has no founding
no reason and it is absolutely based on bigotry. period.

i've pointed out how so clearly this is a man made ideal time and time again and you continually ignore it.

so again how does homosexuality infringe, undermine or have any disregard for others?

how many times have I said this but obviously it needs repeating....

homosexuals can get saved as can murderers or anyone else but you must repent, that means turn away from your sins, that means a murderer stops murderering, a thief stops thieving, a homosexual stops being homosexual...

there is no bias it is equal for all, they stop, turn away from their previous sinning, if they have no intention of stopping the sin, whatever the sin is there is no repentance and they are fooling themselves...:)

Not sure what the last sentence means, so I'll just address the first two. You mean "one flesh" = children? So any union that results in children - rape, incest, polygamous arrangements, extra-marital sex, and sperm bank donors - are one flesh. That's a whoooole lot of oneness.
