How stupid would it be to allow Iran to nuke Israel?

Just how stupid would it be to do nothing while Iran nukes Israel?

Some American Christians believe the Revelation, and placed faith in Bush as being the one predicted in Revelation.:D :p

Actually, they're right. Bush is the Beast from the Earth, and he intends to bring us closer to Armageddon. :D

Guys, be serious, and read what BBC has said about this Iran bomb and Israel bomb thingi. Since Israel was so impatient and bomb Iraq early lab, Iran's conditions now has gone beyong the capability of Israel to strike out. Remember the recent Lebanon battle, Israel was already struggling not to lose the battle?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6414771.stm

In June 1981, eight Israeli fighter jets took only 90 seconds to destroy Iraq's Osirak reactor in an audacious bombing raid. It is sometimes cited as a precedent for a US or Israeli (or joint) attack on Iran, but is it really a useful parallel?

Mini nukes and bunker busters would do the job and Israel has both. I guess you don't remember the 7 day war? The problem today is that countries have to fight a politically correct war.

You have to be kidding. Israel was struggling all right, but only to find targets, all the lebanese "fighters" were hiding among the townspeople. They wouldn't come out to fight.

Israel won't have the same problem with reactors, they can't run and hide. They may be underground but as I have already explained somewhere, Israel has the capability to take them out.

True, but I don't think Israel really cares. They'll take care of business when they have to.

He's trying to "spread democracy" by war. How is that different from trying to start WWIII? Let's see, we're fighting Afghanistan, Iraq, and we're rattling our sabres against Iran. How is that different from trying to start WWIII?

The question is about a Hypothetical situation with Iran. Nothing has happened yet, how can you claim false pretenses on a hypothetical question.
Hypothetical.. that is how the Iraq war started and had support in the first place, it was based on hypotheticals given gift wrapped to the American public- you are not that stupid, so please don't pretend to be.

It is quite obvious that the joke was the wording and slant of the question, it also had nothing at all to do with Iraq. For you to post a picture of dead US soldiers is just inflammatory and Nobody was talking about Iraq, if you want to make some political statement about Iraq, go find a thread that is talking about it or start your own. Attempting to derail a thread just because you misunderstood it is, well... you know.dishonest.

The "axis of Evil" from George Bush

"our goal is to prevent regimes that sponsor terror from threatening America or our friends and allies with weapons of mass destruction. Some of these regimes have been pretty quiet since September the 11th. But we know their true nature. North Korea is a regime arming with missiles and weapons of mass destruction, while starving its citizens.
Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror, while an unelected few repress the Iranian people's hope for freedom.
Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror. The Iraqi regime has plotted to develop anthrax, and nerve gas, and nuclear weapons for over a decade. This is a regime that has already used poison gas to murder thousands of its own citizens—leaving the bodies of mothers huddled over their dead children. This is a regime that agreed to international inspections—then kicked out the inspectors. This is a regime that has something to hide from the civilized world.
States like these, and their terrorist allies, constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world. By seeking weapons of mass destruction, these regimes pose a grave and growing danger. They could provide these arms to terrorists, giving them the means to match their hatred. They could attack our allies or attempt to blackmail the United States. In any of these cases, the price of indifference would be catastrophic"

The Axis of Evil
Iraq
Iran
North Korea

It's a checklist, if the first one was/is a lie, then what is the second and third? Who pays the real price or do you really give a ****?

Did you read the BBC link I provided? Even the US has problem locating the reactors.

You really have a lot of confident in the capability of Israel:p

Not bunker buster. Mini nukes, yes. But do you think Israel can simply send mini nukes into Iran without any conventional war retaliation?

Once Israel used the mini nukes, the whole Arab middle east, including Egypt and Libya will all unite and this time the 7 day war may work the other way round. I do not think Israel will risk that without her Big brother placing the troops protecting her border :p

That's a pretty funky interpretation of your source article, which shows the NECESSITY of avoiding at all costs a ground attack due to terrain, and proceeds to outline what appears to me very responsible, proactive planning of various responses to Iranian aggression. If Iran continues to mess with our troops in Iraq and threaten Israel, it would be stupid to pretend nothing is going on. It would be more prudent to explore all available diplomatic and military options and be prepared for the worst, which is what the administration is obviously doing.

"Congress should make it very clear that there is no previous authority for the president to go into Iran," warned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

But even strong promoters of the war in Iraq are not talking seriously about going "into" Iran.
"I do not think anyone in the U.S. is talking about invasion," said Josh Muravchik, a Middle East expert at the American Enterprise Institute who has argued for air strikes on Iran. "We have been chastened by the experience of Iraq, even a hawk like myself."

remember israel attacked Iraq and took care of their nuclear program and no one lifted a finger...and their sunni!

supposedly we oppress and beat and murder arabs all the time everyday but no arab leader seems prepared to do anything to stop this supposed oppression...and this is the biggest problem between Israel and the Arabs...supposedly.

trust me...i don't fear the Arab world...i fear Olmert, the man has no spine.

Very true for your analysis of the few recent Arab leaders. That is the reason why the Arab general population has look towards the Islamic fundamentalist and conservatist to provide a political direction, and that is how AlQaeda won in Afghan (of course with some help from our good friend Reagan and CIA) and Komeini in Iran. And that is how they can be so easily misguided to become human weapon (as suicide bombers).

There is a limit where Arabs can take from their corrupt leaders and abuse and insult from the US and the Zionists. When that limit is reached, we shall see explosive reaction, and could be far worse than a few isolated terrorists actions. That will really be fulfilling the Revealation, and we shall witness the end of the current world and a start of a new world after that......

And that type of action will be the beginning of the end for the entire Muslim world. Believe me, the West and Arab World better start cooperating, or we will have to fight a total war.

i don't know about Revelations, but it will fulfill jewish prophecy when ALL the nations turn on us in the days preceding Moshiach...but after that they will know that HaShem is One and the Jews will STILL control Eretz Yisrael and the Beit HaMikdash shall stand in Jerusalem.

i say, don't sing it, bring it.

It is time to take the gloves off. Trying to fight a politically correct war is the exact reason why there is a quagmire in the middle east.

The politically correct liberals will change their song when a portable nuclear device is set off in Israel or the U.S.A.

We are at war! War is hell on earth! The military was trained to kill, not police a country. The military is a voluntary army and want to finish the job. The liberals think we can just bring the boys home and stick our heads in the sand and ignore this problem like it will go away.

If someone tells you they are going to go home and get their gun and be back to shoot and kill you, I say, too bad you left your weapon at home.....Bang!

If someone denies the holocaust and calls for the destruction of Israel, I say bomb the hell out of them!

It may be very wishfull thinking of the Jews to want that prophecy fulfilled, and same with Christians wanting Revelation to happen during their life time. Not sure whether Muslim got a similar thing to the Revelation or not.:D

Keep on hoping. God bless us all.

Just how stupid would it be to allow Iran to develope nukes and then drop them on Israel? Why would it be stupid? Or, if you by chance think it would be smart, then why would it be smart?

Have you read Joel Rosenberg's The Ezekiel Option? It talks about what might happen if Israel is nuked.
