Hmmm...

I can identify and name all of Tinkerbell's fairy friends, and tell you what their particular area of fairy expertise is.

My mates seem to think that is equal parts unmanly and hilarious for some reason...lol

If only they knew the Tinkerbell myths and legends are real...

I'm a big fan of Anne Rice books and have read most of them. If you're unfamiliar with her stuff, it's basically borderline gay erotica with vampires.

On the other hand, my cave-man physique and thick layer of back hair pretty much void all the unmanliness.

Fine. In my spare time I write and compose music, paint and draw, and have both written and edited fiction - besides the fact that I write experimental algorithms and programs for fun, yet I've never even worn a set of pads for football. Are you happy now?

I don't know about him, but I am. :hearts:

It's not "borderline". Her vampires are all bisexuals who take lovers regardless of their gender. They're also incestuous.

I make pottery and quiche.

I have a yellow T-shirt with a giraffe hugging a brontosaurus.

I don't punch people who think I must be queer somehow because my dad's transgender.

In junior high school, while other guys were practicing on the football team, I was
in an after school art program. I think I was the only guy. Was I even a "guy"?

You know what, I did the exact same thing ;)
Though it was Soccer not American Football and there were a couple of other guys in the class.

I was one of three guys in my writing for children module a couple of years ago. I was the only male who turned up when we discussed Jacqueline Wilson.

I avoid pubs when there's a football match on and don't support a team.

I have a roughly 50/50 split of male and female friends. The female friends aren't there purely to sleep with and I don't feel as though I've been friend-zoned by them either (even though I'm a really really nice guy)

I paint and read in my spare time rather than watch sport... though the painting is war-game stuff which may not be macho, but it's certainly male dominated.

I have a gay best friend.

I know how to apply lipstick, eyeliner and nail varnish. Doing the whole goth thing as a teenager helped me there :D

I cook, I grocery shop, I babysit, I love interior decoration, hardly watch sports, (except college basketball).

I do laundry, vacuume, and love to walk around in women's underwear.

I'm not homophobic and played in the band in high school.

As a gay man if I never use the words 'fierce' (other than like 'ferocious') or 'fabulous', does that make me go full circle and become an Alpha Male Manly Man?

:D

I do not use the word 'fierce' or 'ferocious'.... but then again I'm bi, and I'm not sure what words we have trademarked.

I was taught that it takes a bigger man to walk away from a fight.
And it's true.
However, you can not let people walk all over you either.

Plz dont look at my avi, no clue how to change it, it just showed up. :D

This doesn't make you unmanly, it just means you have poor taste ;)

Actually, I watched that Hemlock Grove on Netflix and enjoyed it. It's basically the same thing, teenagers with sexual themes and horror monsters.

I've always considered myself feminine and I always thought it was obvious to other people; when I was a teenager, I was even afraid people would think I was gay. Turns out, apparently it's not obvious at all. So I figure im feminine on the inside and masculine on the outside.

My mom taught me how to crochet and sew when I was a kid. Dont remember crocheting anymore, but I can sew easily. I also learned to cook when I was a kid and wanted an easy bake oven (because what kid wouldn't want to make their own sweets with their own damn oven??) :D

I dont like watching sports and never have, it was hard for me to fit in with guys talking about sports and stuff. Not that I dont like sports, I really enjoy playing them, but watching them is boring. I'll just do it for the beer and chips.

Im very sensitive and can be very compassionate when im not aloof.

I also really enjoy theater. I would have enjoyed getting into stage acting.

Not really interested in just banging random chicks, I usually gotta know a girl a bit before I want to have sex with her.

Had long hair for a long time until I got tired of how inconvenient it is. When I was a kid, I once got mistaken for being a girl :D

I tend to spend time figuring out what I want to wear. The clothes and colors have to go together just right for me to feel comfortable in them.

Actually I dont really see any of the things in this thread as being unmanly, but they definitely dont fit in with the media stereotype of masculinity. Not that the stereotype is anything more than a caricature.

Im a man, and i'll decide for my god damn self what it means to be a man, thank you very much.
