There isn't much I'd put past Trump in an effort to gain adoration or ratings, but getting shot at by a guy with a gun from hundreds of feet away to stage an assassination attempt is definitely one of them. Not because he's above doing something deceptive, but because it was be a huge risk to his safety. He'd never do something so likely to harm or kill him.
That's the difference between Woke and not -- some people just don't notice injustice -- unless, of course, it happens to them.

I cannot understand how Trump won the first time around. Never underestimate the idiocy of the US public as a whole.

Ah, yes. It was a hoax. The blood on his face was really ketchup from packets he smuggled from McD's. His ear injury was really just a cut from shaving (he's sloppy & that's why he has to cover his ears with his hair). The pops we heard were just fireworks & that's what actually scared him - he fell.

I think the difference we are talking about here is I don't think the late Fred Phelps actually had a position of political power and influence on the same scale as government officials have.

No because they are members of the Democrat Party and if the Democratic party willingly keeps them under the party ticket that does represent all of them. Although I think one was fired for the remarks.
