I would like to challenge the rabid hate Trump do gooders on this site, to use logic, reason and data to make your point for why Trump is the bogeyman. The very people who preach science and logic over faith and religion are relying too much on inducing emotions, while never showing any data or logic. Convince my mind and stop trying to manipulation my heart, since I am rational. This is another example of the DNC hypocrisy and talking out of both faces.

Trump also announced his VP pick, JD Vance. He will be the youngest VP if elected. This guy came from poverty, had a dead beat father and drug addicted mother who abandons him. He was raise by his Grandmother. She kept him on the straight and narrow. He graduated High School and served as a Marine in the Middle East and then on to Ohio State and then Yale, where he was top of his class. They even made a TV movie about his inspiring life story before he got into politics.

He used to be a Trump hater; Never Trumper, but as Trump showed results, Vance had a change of heart and they became friends. This guys was chosen not just because of his rags to riches story, but because he will chew up the propaganda machine. He is a Genius Marine on steroids designed to take the hill and plant the flag. The propaganda machine is already starting the repeat talking points. I can't wait until he does the Liberal talk show circuit and starts to take unfriendly fire. His youth makes him a tireless soldier.

No. The reason rational people don't like Trump in context of the Russia-Ukraine war is because people think he is going to simply hand over Ukraine to Russia and kiss Putin's behind. I don't think NATO has won, as they're not even fighting in the war. I don't think either Ukraine or Russia have won either. It seems to have reached a point of stalemate. Now, it's just a war of attrition.

That's not a compromise. If I walk into someone's house and declare their first floor mine and try to take over the rest, is it a compromise for them to give me the first floor while they keep the other floors?

Russia took those regions by force. Peace would be for Russia to go back to their own country and leave Ukraine alone. Compromise would be Russia maybe not having to pay to help rebuild Ukraine. Compromise is not giving Russia part of Ukraine.

I think at some point, eventually, the fighting will end. How it actually ends and what the final result will look like is difficult to say.

It might be something like the border between North and South Korea, where the fighting stopped, but the "war" never really ended. Russia and China may get closer, united against a common foe. North Korea, Iran, and possibly other nations may join up.

The US is in a position where we have to make a choice to take a more cooperative and diplomatic approach with the world - or to continue to use force. I think we should try to be more diplomatic and peaceful, but if we have to resort to a more forceful approach to foreign relations, then that comes with consequences of its own.
